aether's pov.

ive been stuck in a unknown world for a while now, ive made many friends along the way, still trying to find my sister, i learned she was with the abyss, it wasnt all that pleasant. i met this male during my adventures, the god of anemo, barbatos, also known as venti. he had a sweet smile and a beautiful laugh, i loved him and he loved me back, or so i thought.

"traveler! are you headed anywhere?"

he shouted as he ran towards me, i looked at him and blushed.

"yea, im going too liyue for a while, childe wanted to have dinner and talk together."

i answered as his eyes lit up.

"mind if i come? i want to meet someone there!"

he said in excitement, i sighed and let him come, i didnt think about anything. we looked around and saw childe, he was talking with zhongli, xiao was also with them, as we both walked up too them, venti seemed a little too happy with xiao.

"i invited zhongli and xiao if you dont mind!"

childe said as i looked at him, i nodded and we went too the restaurant (or diner, idk), xiao was blushing at venti, i kept spacing out thinking about the worst possibilities.

"traveler? are you alright?"

zhongli asked in concern, i flinched, realising i was spacing out.

"im fine.."

paimon knew i wasnt just 'fine', i felt my stomach hurt, I flinched as I felt like something was coming out of my mouth.

"excuse me."

I quickly ran too a restroom, i took my hand away from my mouth, hesitantly looking at it. blood. it was a beautiful rose covered in blood. the sight of it scared me.

it hurts, why does it hurt? why is it hurting? I don't want it to hurt. paimon looked at me worried, I washed the blood off and went back to the table, acting like nothing happened.

I had a feeling childe was onto me, I didn't know how, but he was. after everyone ate, we were all outside talking, I was pulled away somewhere with childe.

"traveler, whats going on?"

I was right, he was onto me.

"nothing, I just didn't feel well."

I replied, lying wasn't my thing but I knew it was the best thing to do right now.

"I know somethings wrong, paimon looked worried when you two came back. besides, there's a red stain on your scarf."

(idk it's that thing that looks like a scarf on his neck it's uh- yk.)

I realised I didn't entirely wash the evidence, I checked and there was infact a red stain, he caught me.

"fine—"

I felt something come out of my stomach again, I covered my mouth as I coughed, knees hitting the floor while Childe checked if I had any sickness.
