Many centuries ago, there was a family that lived in the middle of the woods. This family contained two boys who had the names of Peter and Haydn. There was also a daughter, but she had disappeared at the age of twelve when Peter was four and Haydn was two. The boys had a baby dragon named Agave and dreamed of going on an adventure someday. For the majority of their life, it was peaceful and pleasant.
However, one day, Thorne, the evil king of their country, wanted to take away all of the dragons from the people, so they were forced to give him Agave.
"I wish there were a way for us to get Agave back," Peter wished on a star the night Agave was taken away by the king. Suddenly, there was a small explosion of sparkles, and where it was, Peter and Haydn saw a tiny fairy who was as pretty as a picture, had curly hair as black as the night sky that came down her delicate waist, and wide eyes as blue as the sea.
"Hello, my name is Gwendoline, and I heard your wish to get your dragon Agave back. But first, I must inform you that King Thorne is an evil warlock and is looking for the Sword of Pegasus, which is the only weapon that has enough power to destroy his staff. Without his staff, he would not exist, so he wants to destroy it!" the fairy exclaimed.
"So that's why he took all of the swords away a week ago," Haydn realized.
"Why did he take all of the dragons as well?" Peter asked.
"The only thing that can destroy the sword is the fire of 100 dragons of any age all together at once, so he had all of the dragons he could lay his hands on brought to him," Gwendoline explained.
"What do we do now, though?" Haydn asked.
"I know where the Sword of Pegasus is, and I can guide the two of you to it so we can defeat the Warlock King," Gwendoline replied. So the next day, at dawn, Peter, Haydn, and Gwendoline began their journey to the Sword of Pegasus.
Meanwhile, Throne the Warlock King was very frustrated, and his temper was rising quite high because he still had not found the Sword of Pegasus, for every sword brought to him by his slaves was able to be destroyed with only the fire of one or two dragons. He also had the feeling that soon, someone would come and defeat him with the sword. Suddenly, one of his slaves had come in with a message for King Thorne.
"Your majesty, I have just received word that two boys and a fairy are on a quest to find the sword," the slave said.
"Which fairy?" King Thorne asked.
"That air fairy Gwendoline," the slave replied.
"I should have known. Gwendoline, that little traitor, who betrayed me when I did absolutely nothing to her," Thorne murmured to himself.
"Well, actually-" the slave began.
"No time to worry about that. I will cast a spell which will stop the trio from getting to the sword," the king said. He took his staff and cast a magic spell that would send giant cyclopes to stop the trio.
Meanwhile, the two brothers and Gwendoline had just made it to a river which meant they were not far from where Gwendoline believed the sword was. Suddenly, the Warlock King's evil spell began! Cyclopes who were so tall the boys couldn't see where their heads were appeared and wanted to kill them!
"I'll cause a distraction; you guys run under their legs," Gwendoline explained to Peter and Haydn. She flew to the eye level of the cyclopes and flew all around as fast as she could, making them dizzy. During this time, Peter and Haydn ran under the legs of the cyclopes.
When Gwendoline learned that the two boys made it past the monsters, she flew to Peter and Haydn. Unfortunately, though both boys were able to get past the cyclopes alive, one of them had scratched Haydn's leg very badly.
"Haydn! Do you think you can go on much longer?" Peter asked after seeing his brother's bleeding leg.
"I don't think so," Haydn replied. Gwendoline disappeared for a few seconds and returned with some cloth to bandage Haydn's injured leg.
"Put this on the wound, and he'll feel better," Gwendoline explained to Peter as she gave it to him. So Peter bandaged Haydn's scratch, and Haydn was able to stand up.
Finally, after about fifteen minutes of traveling from where the cyclopes were, the trio arrived at the cave that Gwendoline said the sword would be. Peter walked up to the sword, grabbed it, and suddenly, a pegasus appeared!
Peter, along with his brother Haydn and Gwendoline, hopped onto the pegasus's back, and it took them to Thorne the Warlock King's castle. Once at the castle, Peter drew forth the Sword of Pegasus.
"Behold, King Thorne. The Sword of Pegasus!" Peter proclaimed.
"You think it's actually going to be that easy to defeat me? The most powerful warlock in the world?" King Thorne asked while taking his staff ready to harm Peter.
"I won't let you harm him!" Gwendoline yelled as she flew in front of Peter to protect him. This lead to the power coming from Thorne's staff hitting her and knocking the sword from Peter's hand!
"What have you done to her?" Haydn asked.
"That little traitor is dead," King Thorne explained. "As for you, be prepared to meet your doom!" He walked toward a swordless Peter with his staff ready to defeat him!
Suddenly, Agave the dragon, grabbed the sword, and gave it to Peter. With the power of the Sword of Pegasus, Peter walked up to the king and destroyed the evil staff.
"NO! What have you done!?!?" Thorne asked as he melted into a puddle of a thick, black liquid. Peter looked at the pool that was once King Thorne in amazement and shock.
"I can't believe it. We have defeated the Warlock King!" Peter said.
"Peter, Haydn. Is that you?" a girl's voice asked the two boys. Haydn and Peter turned around to where Gwendoline had laid to see a beautiful girl who had black hair like Peter and blue eyes like Haydn.
"Who are you? How do you know our names?" Peter asked the girl.
"I'm Gwendoline, your long-lost sister."
"Were you the fairy who helped us as well?"
"Yes. When you were very young, I went to King Thorne with the hope of being of service to him. I was able to be a lady-in-waiting for him. However, soon afterward, I discovered his true evil intentions, so I disobeyed him. As punishment, he turned me into a fairy."
"But how did you turn back into a human?" Haydn asked.
"When he was defeated, all of the spells he had cast were broken." The three siblings went home with Agave. Since Thorne the Warlock King was gone, the town was given all their dragons back, so everyone lived happily ever after.
