🕺Chapter 1🕺

The Uchiha Manor was as usual at 8:00 at night. The silence and clanking of utensils on the plates was all that you could hear at the moment. But Sasuke and Itachi knew what was coming.

Fugaku would say one thing every time Itachi would come over for dinner. And he was showing all the signs. Eating his 5th bite of food, slowly putting down his fork on the side of the plate, taking his napkin off his lap and laying it down on the other side of his plate. He was showing all the signs and they knew it was soon coming.

Fugaku put his elbows on the table and locked his fingers together in front of his face. His stared straight at Itachi.

"So, son have you found a girlfriend yet?"

Sasuke internal cringed. He didn't show it on his face, but inside of his mind he had a face of disgust. Even though the question never was directed at him, he still always hated when his father asked this question. Mostly on the behalf of Itachi. He knew Itachi was never romantically interested in anyone. He could always tell Itachi was uncomfortable with the question. He just uncomfortably waited for his brother to say no and get a lecture from their father about he needs to marry for their company's future.

"I hope you know that I will be retiring soon. I would like my oldest to marry someone before I do." Fugaku scolded Itachi.

This speech was always annoying to hear for Sasuke, but not for the reasons you think. Sasuke would much rather have this talk be directed at him! He hated the fact that their father stayed on tradition with the "oldest child takes over" crap. Sasuke loves Itachi, but he knows that he is the better choice for the company. Itachi never really had interest in it anyway. And Sasuke knew that.

"You didn't let me answer, Father." Itachi stated. Fugaku and Sasuke stared directly at him with shock.

"I do have a girlfriend."

"Seriously!" Fugaku and Sasuke both stated.

"Yes. You know my childhood friend. Izumi. Well she recently came back in town and we caught up. We have been dating for a week now." Itachi said with a smile.

"Well that's great! I have no need to worry then. You even stayed in the family! Your children will be amazing!" Fugaku joyed. Sasuke was shocked and happy for his brother, but also quite suspicious. He brother never liked anyone. Izumi always showed interest. Itachi never recuperate those feelings though. He definitely will ask about that later.

It has been two weeks since that night. Sasuke had been meaning to ask Itachi about his girlfriend, but he has been so busy trying to make a good impression to their father. Itachi will take over the company in a couple years, so this is the only time he can try to change their father's mind. He been doing everything he can to help the company and show a good impression. It's been keeping him quite busy. Fortunately he's brother called him to have brunch. For what? Sasuke doesn't know.

"Happy birthday, little brother." Itachi eventually said, holding up a wrapped box.

"What?" Sasuke said.

"Happy birthday. It's your birthday. Your 19th." Itachi stated tilting his head in confusion.

Sasuke eyes shot open, but he quickly closed them back to their original size. He didn't want his brother to notice he forgot his own birthday. Itachi did notice though.

"Sasuke, don't tell me you forgot your own birthday." Itachi said with disappointment in his voice.

"N-no I didn't!" Sasuke said snatching the box out of Itachi's hands.

"Sasuke, you can't lie to me. How could you forgot your own birthday?!"

"I've been busy, okay!" Sasuke exclaimed.

"Oh, yeah I've heard. You been helping with the company a lot lately." Itachi said.

"Sasuke, why are doing this to yourself. You're only 19. You should be out doing things. Not to mention there is no need to do all this when you know it's not going to change father's mind." Itachi said sadly.

Sasuke sighs. He knows that, but he can't help but keep trying. He has a reason to keep doing this to himself. He wants to take their mother's dance studio back. The Uchiha company sells venues. They own basically ever empty spot you can find. Sasuke mother's family are all dancers. They dance all types. Her parents wanted to teach people this dances, so they immigrated from Japan to California to start a dance studio. And the venue they rented was from the Uchiha company. That's how Fugaku and Mikoto met. Eventually they got married and Mikoto parents retired. So, their parents bought it. But ever since their mother's death, their father hasn't done anything with the studio. But Sasuke knows that they will eventually have to sell it. So, he wants to take control to take it off the market.

"Whatever." Sasuke starts to unwrap the box and open it. He pulls up the lid and is met with ballet shoes. Shoes that look identical to his mother's, but a bigger size. They were completely black, with a design at the bottom of a slightly lighter black crow.

"What are these?" Sasuke said still staring in awe at the shoes.

"Their dance shoes obviously. I got them custom made." Itachi stated.

Sasuke still stared, but he eventually closed his eyes and sighed. He closed the shoe box and slid it back to Itachi.

"Thanks, but I don't really dance anymore." Sasuke said.

"That's why I got you the shoes, so you can dance again."

"I can't, Itachi."

"Why? You used to love ballet just like mother. Now you stopped dance and just put yourself in the company work." Itachi said.

"Well, you stopped dancing too."

"I stopped because I lose interest, while you stopped because of mother's death."

"I just don't want to dance anymore, okay." Sasuke exclaimed. Itachi leaned back into his chair and stared.

"Sasuke, tonight I want to take you somewhere. Be ready by 9:30."

Ohhhh! I'm excited for this! This story is based off the Step Up trilogy. I was watching those movies and got inspired. This is also basically my first fic since I didn't finish my last fic and it was only 3 chapters. I also think my writing has greatly improved. But this one I'm sure I'm going to finish, no promises though! Also if anybody wants to be my beta reader just message me! I edit but I still make a lot of mistakes in grammar and missing words. Question of the chapter! Simple question, favorite Naruto character! If you haven't noticed by my account and username. My favorite is Kabuto! He's hot and a great character.
