"Wei Ying!"

With a 'snap', Wei Wuxian turned his head towards Lan Wangji. Clear words contaminated with malice poured off of his tongue. 

"What!?" Wei Wuxian clenched his fists, "So now, now are you going to tell me the truth? - or are you going to keep lying?!

"You never loved me, did you? For god's sake! I can't believe I fell for your lies!"

Lan Wangji took a step forward, reaching a hand out to cup Wei Wuxian's cheek; But before he could even get close, the other spoke.

"Don't. Fucking. Touch. Me"  Wei Wuxians' words hurt. They stung Lan Wangji and gave him a feeling of hurt that couldn't even compare to the greatest loss.

"Wei Ying..."

Lan Wangji's hand stopped. It hung mid-air. Slowly retracting as Wei Wuxian barked.

The look on Wei Wuxian's face hurt more than taking all 33 strikes from the discipline whip.

"You don't even deserve to speak my name - someone as filthy as you doesn't deserve anything!"

It all hurt so much. All of Wei Wuxians' words, his expressions, everything - and what's worse is that Lan Wangji doesn't even know why!

Wei Wuxian took a step forward.

Lan Wangji took a hesitant step backward. Eyes foggy with confusion, fear, and hurt. What's going on?

"I can't believe it!" Wei Wuxian spoke, "You're still playing the victim... How pitiful."

Wei Wuxians' dark and hazy eyes are filled with disdain and regret. How sad. He brought a hand up to Lan Wanji's cheek, stepping closer, closing the distance. He swiped his thumb to wipe a loose tear.

Lan Wangji leaned into the warm touch sighing softly in relief. "... Wei Ying......"

Just as Wei Wuxian's name slipped off the tip of his tongue - the warm hand that had brought Lan Wangji ( comfort; lifted up and struck down on the same place it touched so gently prior.

"You don't deserve to speak my name. I told you this already, no?"

Lan Wangjis' eyes widened, almost comically, at the salty and bitter words coming from his Wei Ying.

A single tear fell stray from Lan Wangjis' molten gold eyes. 

"Get on your knees, now."

Wei Wuxian spoke with such strong hatred that Lan Wangji was startled stuck.

Following Wei Wuxian's order, he knelt down to the wooden floor of the Jinjshi. He could never disobey Wei Wuxian's wishes. They were bound together by the Heavens. They promised to be partners in this life and others to come. They made a promise - they made countless promises solely meant for each other that he would never break. He wouldn't dare break a single one. He hasn't broken one!

A waterfall of tears gracefully cascaded down Lan Wangji's cheeks.

Wei Wuxian scoffed seeing Lan Wangji kneel so easily - and the tears streaming from the corner of his eyes.

"Why? Why are you still putting up this act?! Why can't you just admit everything was just for show!??"
