I woke up feeling a bit strange. My body felt smaller and I could feel hair tickling my back. I knew I needed a haircut, but I didn't know it was that bad.
"Good morning, Marinette," a voice said.
"Good morning, Tik-" I said, yawning. Wait, Marinette? Last time I checked, my name is Adrien. My voice also sounded different. Higher pitched. Why had she called me Marinette? And Tikki? Why is Tikki here? As far as I knew, Marinette is Multimouse and is not a permanent holder. Also, I thought Plagg was supposed to stay with me at all times. I snapped my eyes open, only to find a floating ladybug kwami. Plagg was gone. Oh no! Plagg's not here! Did I lose him?
"Tikki?" The little kwami looked over at me. "Why did you call me Marinette?" I asked.
She looked at me with a puzzled look on her face. "Because you are Marinette."
"No, I'm not." I protested. "I'm Adrien. Adrien Agreste. By the way, what am I doing in Marinette's room?"
"Marinette," the kwami began. "I know you like him and all, but that doesn't mean you have to pretend to be him"
"Like him? I AM him!" I whisper/shouted. Tikki stared at the wall for a moment as if trying to remember something. I look around the room. Pink, very pink with some polka dots on a few things. I take the stairs two at a time trying to get to a mirror. Luckily, she has a huge one in a corner. I ran as fast as I could to the mirror, desperate to see if I really had switched bodies with Marinette. And I did. I gasped and stared in shock. Tikki was trying to get me to pay attention to her, but I couldn't. I had those beautiful blue diamond eyes and her shiny sapphire hair. Pale skin and strawberry colored lips with rose tinted cheeks. Gosh, she looked beautiful, but that's not the point. I walk backwards and trip over some books on the floor
"Wait, Adrien?" Asked Tikki. "I think I might know why you and Marinette switched bodies." We heard footsteps and she ducked behind the mirror while I got up.
"Marinette, are you alright? What happened?" Sabine asked.
"Yeah, I'm fine. I just tripped over my... books! Yeah! Thanks... mom." I said nervously. She smiled at me and left. She didn't look at me weirdly. Was this something that happened often? Knowing Marinette, it probably was. I grabbed her phone to check the time. 7:15 on a Monday. What a great way to start the week, and now I only have fifteen minutes left to get ready. After I brush my teeth, I grab the first thing I see. A t-shirt and jeans with some shoes that were nearby while Tikki was trying to put my (her) hair into pigtails. I threw a coat on, grabbed the backpack on the chair along with her purse and ran downstairs. Mr. Dupain handed me a croissant and hurried out the door. Good thing was that I only had to cross the street to get to school. The real Marinette was already at school, following my busy and early schedule. I wonder how she reacted? I'll have to ask her later though. For now, there was school (and Alya) to go through.
