Nayeon's pulling faces at her again. Mina decides not to be distracted by the mad woman across her office, so she shuts the blinds down, a smirk forming on her lips.

She lets out a snort.

She counts on her fingers.

"How dare you close the blinds on me? Again!" Nayeon whines as she throws her hands indignantly in the air. "I was trying to make you smile."

Nayeon rushes to Mina's office, as predicted.

"The faces you were making weren't funny. They're annoying. And what are you? A toddler?"

Mina replies, continuing her work.

Nayeon makes another funny face by scrunching her nose and sticking her tongue out, and rolling her eyes.

This time, Mina wasn't able to hold back her laugh. She giggles heartily, covering her mouth delicately with one hand.

"You laugh so elegantly what the hell."

Nayeon shakes her head in disbelief. It's a wonder how the team leader can remain this composed (and attractive) while laughing. Even the sounds she makes
are attractive. Nayeon thinks that Mina's giggles are rainbows and butterflies, while hers is of hyperventilating horses.

"You got a laugh out of me already. Get back to work now." Mina gives Nayeon a thumbs-up as a seal of approval (or defeat), letting her know that her presence is acknowledged, and she succeeded
getting Mina's attention.

"Why is your thumb slightly bent to the left?" Nayeon tilts her head before taking Mina's hand to examine it.

"Huh?"

"Nothing. I just made up an excuse to hold your hand." The woman cackles loudly, as she intertwines their hands together and shakes it.

Mina returns to her stoic expression, the look in her eyes, furtive. "Finish your work now." She 'pulls away' from Nayeon's grip.
Nayeon just tightens it and stares their interlaced finger. "They fit perfectly." She then stares at Mina for a second.

"What?" Mina asks. "We're not in a romcom film. Stop flirting with me. It's not even noon." Mina has mastered the art of feigning annoyance.

"So you mean I can flirt with you during lunch?"

Mina just groans in frustration. She fiddles with the loose end of her coat with her free hand. "Just get back to work, Nayeon." she sighs.

Nayeon pouts but finally lets go, dramatically, of course, imitating the 'I'll never let go scene' from Titanic. She marches back to her office with a smile on her face.

For months now, Mina has observed a pattern while working with Nayeon: when Nayeon's bored in her office, if she isn't dozing off or slouching in her chair scrolling mindlessly in her phone, she would be coming up with weird antics to get Mina's attention. Nayeon would make faces; spam her phone with emojis, memes, and pointless texts; pretend to be a mime; wriggle her eyebrows suggestively; tempt her to have a quickie; dance; take photos of Mina and send it to her; pretend to know Morse code by using the phone camera's flash— anything actually, just to get Mina to pay attention to her.

If Mina hasn't been reading all these signals wrong, she thinks there's a probability Nayeon may like her.

But she immediately debunks this idea for some reasons. First, they have the Golden Rule (they promised not to break that, so Nayeon's probably following it in good faith). Second, Mina thinks it's uncharacteristic of Nayeon to like her since Nayeon practically hates her guts.
