All Bruce wanted was to have one day to relax. He didn't even want to be there in the first place but Alfred made him go 'Bruce you need to go outside, socialise with others' He said. All he could hear was the waves crash against the sand, seagulls chirping and the sound of women all around him giggling. He understood he was a young, bachelor, billionaire but all he wanted was one day to relax, just one was that too hard to ask. He sighed as he stared at a surfer, she was wearing a blood red two piece which stood out compared to her pale skin, she was very talented, she really knew how to shred waves and she had an amazing set of abs. He sat there for a little longer until he saw a shadow tower over him. "Hey there you are, I've been looking everywhere for you." She said it quite loudly so the other women near could hear. It was the surfer he was watching before, now he could see her pobarly. She had black hair that shone blue in the light as well as bluebell eyes. She was absolutely beautiful, she sat next to him. "What?" Bruce was hella confused, he didn't know her. "Sorry, I just noticed everyone staring at you, not leaving you alone. I thought if another woman came the others would back down and leave you alone." She whispered so only he could hear. "Thank you!" He responded with a relieved expression. "No problem, Marinette." She stuck out her hand. "Bruce." He gave her a warm smile before shaking her hand. "By the way, you were shredding those waves, you're really talented." Marinette blushed lightly, then let out a small giggle. "I don't think I was that good, but I thank you for the compliment, I can teach you some moves if you like?" She was the embodiment  of sunshine, with that smile. "Yeah that would be nice."

Bruce and Marinette got  a couple of surf boards and headed for the waves. Bruce went head first into the water, Marinette laughing after him as she soon followed in the water, he could definitely get used to that sound. Bruce was pretty good on the water, not as good as Marinette though. She was doing all these flips and turns in the air, it was a sight to see.  They splashed around and laughed like stupid teenagers, even though they were both currently in their early twenties. Bruce hadn't had this much fun in years. But all good things must come to an end, the waves grew more restless and soon became much larger and dangerous. Marinette was riding one of the waves when she went under. The ocean completely overtook her. She wasn't resurfacing, the waves just kept crashing, not allowing any time for air. "Marinette!" Bruce yelled but gained no response. He dove in the water trying to find her. He had been looking for a good five minutes before seeing something off in the distance. He swam closer to it, it was a person. With each stroke the body laying still, became more familiar, it was Marinette. He was relieved but it wasn't over yet, she was unconscious. He grabbed underneath her arms and started to pull her out of the water. Once he reached the shore, people started to watch. "C'mon Marinette, I need you to stay with me." He started to perform CPR when he realised she wasn't breathing. He was terrified of losing her, even though they had only met for a couple hours. He opened her mouth and breathed in, then returned back to the chest compressions. He repeated this for another ten minutes before he stopped. He looked down at her, she laid there still, skin pale. This wasn't supposed to happen, she couldn't die. He closed his eyes, clenching them shut, small tears forming in his eyes but then he heard someone coughing up water. He reopened them to see Marinette conscious and breathing. He lifted her head so she could spit out the rest of the sea water. "Marinette, you had me worried there for a second, please don't do that again." Bruce let out a relieved sigh, he brought her to his chest trapping her in a hug. "No promises Brucie, no promises." She let out a weak chuckle, making him smile and returning the hug. 'She was okay'.

Someone had called an ambulance, the paramedics, lifted Marinette onto a stretcher to check her over. They Shone a light in her eyes, as well as checked her blood temperature. "She's all good, I would recommend not to go back in the water though." One of the paramedics stated. They both said their thank yous as the medics left. "Well, that was an eventful day wasn't it?" She gave him a grin. "Yeah it was, but please try not to scare me like that again." He sighed looking back at her, worry clear in his eyes. "Thank you Bruce, I mean it. If you hadn't been there..." She took back her joking tone for a serious one. She lifted up her hand to cup his cheek, she gently pressed a light kiss to the opposite cheek. He looked back up and into her bluebell eyes, a small shade of pink coming across his face. He froze for a moment, then regained himself again. He gave her a small, but warm smile. "Hey, uh, do you maybe want to grab some coffee sometime?" He stuttered out, he saw her eyes widen then turn back to normal. "Yeah, I would really like that, Brucie." "Seriously, Brucie?" "Yep, that's your name now and there's no going back." They looked at each other before bursting out laughing, to the point they were on their backs clutching their stomachs. They laid next to each other, backs against the burning sand and heads looking at the sky above, calming down. Their pinky fingers hesitantly interlocking, then both their hands were fully intertwined. A small spark of energy flowed between the pair and they fell into a comfortable silence. Perhaps Alfred had the right idea. This was nice.
