Dear Diary,

It's exhausting being trapped in a world where people only possess one emotion or quality. I have to carry all the baggage where the others only deal with the baggage of one singular emotion, some obviously have it harder than others... Take Depression and anxiety, they are struggling. Every single emotion or quality here is the same age, and go to the same school. None of us understand how we were born or how our world came to be. Smartness has some pretty far-fetched ideas such as we all live in a simulation, and to be frank, I don't think that they are very far off the mark. None of the people who possess a singular emotion or quality have a gender. That's a new word I made up, I am what Smartness calls female. The first female person to roam this world. Everyone else is, non-binary. As you can tell our names are based off well... Who we are. I named myself Cassandra because it's different and doesn't define me in contrast to the others.

Well it's now time to head off to school. I'd better go.

Cassandra xx

I closed my diary and put it in my bag for school. I knew it was not the brightest idea, people can steal it and that obviously never ends well. I threw my bag over my shoulder and left my dorm room.

"Hey, Cassie!"

"Oh, hey Happy", I said. They are toxic positivity at its finest, too positive for me that's for sure. Don't get me wrong though. I still very much love them.

"Aren't you happy? Today is such a wonderful day!"

"Happy, it's raining, and its hot. I'm sweaty, it's so humid", I replied. "I certainly wouldn't consider this day wonderful by any means..."

"Oh, you're crazy, the-"

"I'm not Crazy, I'm Cassandra"

"No fucking joke", Sarcasm said. "We definitely didn't notice that"

Sarcasm. One of the most disliked in this world we all like to call Emotional Baggage. It may be quite unimaginative, but it definitely describes our world well enough. Sarcasm is always sarcastic, hence their name. They simply cannot, not sound rude, which is rather unfortunate really.

"Yes, thanks for enlightening me, Sarcasm", I said as I rolled my eyes. "See you, Happy. I must be off to class now. Bye, Sarcasm"

"Bye Cassie!" said Happy as she blew a kiss.

"Sure", Sarcasm said, they shot me a piercing look. It sent shivers down my spine.

I hurried out of the dormitories off to our first class. Emotions. It was with everyone in our world and the classroom was absolutely humungous. It was packed with people as well, absolutely nuts. Its like claustrophobia could still hunt you down in even the biggest of spaces. I went to my chair at the front. I was placed there because they believed I needed this more, but I possess all of them. I possess more knowledge of emotions than everyone here.

"I fucking hate this class", said Disgust. "It actually stinks, and other emotions are gross'

"Well, no one asked you did they, Disgust?" screamed anger. "Ugh, it's people like you that make my blood boil"

"Ew, there is literally no one else like me", they retorted.

"Disgust is right", said Smart as they entered the classroom. "It is the basis of our mysterious world and what we will be learning about today"

Smart got out an over-sized pen and began to write on the Smartboard. It projected itself on the large projector screen so everyone can see. These projector screens were placed almost everywhere in the classroom. The floor was chequered, spotty, stripy and multicoloured. It was absolutely hideous. Quirky designed it and I guess it does really scream quirky. The walls were incredibly tall, I'd say about 10 metres high. As tall as the gym hall. I have to give it to Smart. It would be incredibly difficult to teach others with so many different, unchanging perspectives. Disgust finds everything disgusting, Anger finds everything utterly, infuriating, and Calm finds everything as nice and content.
