It's early and I can hear the ruckus of the Weasley family scrambling to get their things below me.

I sit up from the floor and look to Ginny's bed, but she's gone. As if on cue, I hear Ginny yell something downstairs.

"Don't touch that Fred!"

Yesterday they all went to Diagon Alley to pick up school supplies, but I stayed behind. I didn't do much when I was alone at the burrow, just some reading and snooping through family scrap books. I'd come across an old photo of Fred and George laughing with Percy- must've been a funny joke.

I chuckle to myself before standing up to get ready for today. God, I'm so excited! Finally going back to Hogwarts and seeing all my friends again! It feels like it's been so long- only a few months actually, but still.

Ready to leave, I hurry to grab a change of clothes and get to the bathroom, luckily it's empty. I shower quickly and get dressed before grabbing my trunk and running downstairs.

It's a frenzy- Ron is limping around the living room with one shoe on- he seems to be looking for the other one. George has half a waffle in his mouth while sifting through someone's bag, which I recognize as Mrs. Weasley's. Ginny is sat on the couch looking through some sort of list, crossing things off and eating a muffin. Fred is standing in the archway to the kitchen, laughing to himself and hiding something behind his back, which I can only guess is Ron's missing shoe.

I look around for Percy but he's nowhere to be seen. He's probably locked himself in a closet and is mentally preparing for his last year at Hogwarts- which is understandable.

Mr. Weasley is sitting at the kitchen table, reading the paper. Whilst Mrs. Weasley is running around him, making breakfast.

I walk into the kitchen, grab a waffle off the table and bite into it.

"Good morning, dear!" Mrs. Weasley bellows when she sees me, "do you have everything packed?" I nod before swallowing waffle. "Perfect—" Mrs. Weasley shifts her eyes to something behind me. "Aye Fred! Give your brother back his shoe!" Mrs. Weasley waddles into the living room after Fred who's holding Ron's shoe above his head, taunting him.

I chuckle and bite into my waffle, before walking over to George, who's holding his waffle and pocketing a couple galleons. "What's the list for?" I ask him, referring to Ginny, who's still marking things off her pad of paper.

"Dunno, weird girl stuff I guess." He says. I look up at him and squint my eyes.

"Being organized isn't weird." I retort.

"It is if your a Weasley." He chuckles at his own remark. I roll my eyes but let the corners of my lips turn up.

Me, George, and Fred sit in a compartment somewhere in the middle of the train, arguing over who'd make the best quidditch captain for the Gryffindor team this year.

"—Don't get me wrong, I like Wood as captain but sometimes he can be a little..." I struggle to find the right word...

"Pushy?"

"Overkill?"

"Exhausting?"

"Excessive?"

"Desperate?"

"No no I got it, rash?"

"Do you even know what that word means?"

"No, but it sounds a lot like Wood—"

"Hey guys!" Someone pushes open our compartment door and we all turn our heads to see who interrupted our conversation.

"Oh my god, Lee!" I jump out of my seat and pull him into hug. Lee went to North America over the summer and we hadn't heard from him at all. It must have been too long a flight for his owl.
