Sarah felt so wounded. The school began to waving around her, as if she was on a ship during a seastorm. She felt as if a punch just hit her in the stomach.

- It's not your fault. It's me. I'm so confused. The problem is all on my own - Peter repeated. He had just broken with her. Peter was her first seriuos boyfriend, the one with whom Sarah felt confident to push a relationship to "those" levels. Peter had been a realiable presence in her life since they began to attend high school. Now, to imagine her life without him, was quite of a shock.

Sarah remained silent while Peter recited the long speech he had prepared to exit from her life avoiding every risk of feeling guilty. He was still speaking, but she had stopped listening to him.

She felt broken inside.

Her life was already sucking so much, with that fucking school, her parents always nervous for, the saturday job  and all that shit.

Peter was the only hope she was sticking to. He was the ray of light that brought a little drop of happiness.
She couldn't believe that nightmare was really taking place.

What has she done wrong? She was scared to ask. Was her breast? Was the sex? In those last weeks Peter was asking for rougher and rougher stuff, but she had been to afraid to experiment so much. Maybe should she have been more generous...

She realized Peter had stopped talking. He was staring at her, as if he was waiting some kind of answer.

She was feeling too proud to cry, so she limited to nod her head.

- Is everything ok? - Peter asked - How do you feel? -

Sarah felt a desperate need to hug him, but hold strongly and let it go.

Peter was desappearing from her life.

After everything was finished, Sarah felt too looney to come back home. She went to a cafeteria near the school and sit down in a comfortable room with low lights to drink warm green tea.

That's when she decided that her life had no purpose anymore.

She started feeling empty and cold. She reminded of a poem that  were studying a school: "The hollow men". She couldn't explain why but the expression "the hollow men, the hollow men" began to echo in her mind.

And she felt so empty.

Darkened.

And something swallowed her.

"It's not your fault" said some voice. The words were the same as Peter's, but tone and feel were different. The voice was light, tender, and seemed an echo of a very young child.

Sarah tried to see who spoke to her, but she was rounded by darkness. Despite the artificial blackness that surrounded her, she was not scared.

"Do you fear me?" said the child. Sarah realized that the voice was coming from her very own head. No one was in the room apart from her.
