I walk back to my desk. Why was he taking old newspapers from the filing cabinet? Could this have something to do with the murders? He did seem awfully suspicious.
The man had already gathered the papers, and had left the hallway. I check the cameras, and out of curiosity I find myself looking for the man.
I watch him go into Parts/Service, and I can't help but feel a little creepy. Here I am, watching this guy I barely know through cameras. But he seemed suspicious, I felt I knew him from somewhere, and it was beginning to bug me.
He puts the newspapers in a filing cabinet, though I'm not sure why I care.
I need to read those papers.
They've got to be about the murders.
But why was the man hiding them? And his eyes, and hair, and that suit, why were they purple, and why do I remember him?
I continue to watch the cameras. The man has left already, leaving Parts/Service empty. This is my chance to retrieve the papers.
I leave the office and head to Parts/Service. I'm only halfway down the hallway when I get bombarded with screaming kids.
"Who are you!" One of them shouts.
"I'm the-"
"It's my birthday today!" Another shouts.
Next thing you know I'm in a massive huddle. Where are these kids parents? Did they not teach them anything?
"That's cool," I manage to get out.
"Come celebrate with us!"
"I'm sorry I-"
"Pretty please?" The kid begins to pout.
"I can't I have to work."
They finally all leave me alone, thank god, so I can finally get the newspapers.
"What are you doing?" I hear a familiar voice say, just as I reach the door. I turn around to see James, a puzzled look on his face.
"I'm.. Uh..just-" I stutter.
"Trying to get into Parts n Service again are ya?"
"No...I'm just-"
"Yeah, save it." He says sternly. "Next time I catch ya trying to get in you're fired."
"Okay."
I return to the office, James close on my tail.
"Why'd you come back here?" I ask him.
"Just picking up a few things, I start night shift tonight so..." He trails off. Wait, that's my Dad's job! Did he replace him?
"Oh, that's cool."
He eventually leaves, and I'm once again alone. I've still got a few hours until my shift ends, and I hope they fly by quickly.I make it home around 12:15, and my dad's sitting at the table, confirming that he is no longer working there.
"Hey dad," I say. "Why aren't you at work?"
"I found a new job, washing dishes. I make more money that way anyways."
"That's cool."
I head upstairs to my bedroom, and sit down on my bed. And then it hit me.
I know where I recognize the purple man from.
He was the murderer.
The Freddy Fazbear's Pizzeria murderer.
And that drives me even more to retrieve the papers. And if I want to get them, I have to go at night.
