y/n told herself that she should calm down. She'd do that by telling herself that it was either he was just an idiot or had not the slightest clue on how love works. He could be just a thirsty person for attention or maybe even doing it intentionally to irk people around him.

y/n had wasted an hour or two tailing him from behind his back, afraid of the possibility of him causing a scene in a hospital. She considered him a disaster, nothing more. Nothing positive, just a disaster.

" He's a male? He could relate to you guys a lot but for me?" she scoffed, tearing up a bread that was baked with sweet vanilla custard into two. " Just what exactly are you guys thinking?"

She crossed her legs and stuffed half of the bread inside her mouth, placed her latest magazine on her face, only lifting it when she felt that she had to.

" Aren't you the great y/n though?" Childe teased and put away the magazine covering her troubled face.

" Great my ass," she sighed, looking up. She locked eyes with him, staring deeply at his ocean-like eyes. " Oh, no. Dealing with kids and babysitting crybabies isn't my thing."

" Aw, and one day when you get married, you're going to tell your future partner to be taking care of the baby?"

" When did you even get the idea that I'm going to date someone?"

The ginger-haired male was caught off guard by her sudden question, he had to silently avoid her gaze and could only shrug. 

Childe rubbed his head awkwardly and looked to his side to observe her table sitting by the corner by itself. He noticed a picture of a woman, her shamrock green eyes gleaming like a beautiful emerald stone and her blonde soft curls sticking out everywhere on her face. Though it wasn't his type, he couldn't say she wasn't beautiful.

" Let's make a bet. You don't seem too good today," the ginger-haired male grinned and gave her his hand to shake. Instead of taking the hand, she looked up at him, puzzled.

" For?"

" If I'm able to make him uh... disturb her less, you'll have to pay for three cans of my favorite soda-"
