husband that's a vampire

Chapter 4

Seems like this is Akutagawa's room, I opened the door to see a small boy with gray hair he was sitting down, on the floor, with his back facing me. I could sense how much he was holding back from looking as to who had come in, until he finally did,only to be scared beyond belief when he made eye contact with me for a split second, I chuckled and walked to him and sat on the bed putting one of my leg over the other.

His gaze was now focused on the floor refusing to look at me "Oh? Is the floor so fascinating that you won't even look at me. . . or are you that scared hm?" I said in my sing song voice and he shuddered, I could practically hear his heart beat rapidly and he was breathing heavily.

"*sigh* Must be nice to have a heart that actually beats, huh?" I stood up and kneeled down in front of him and grabbed his hair and pulled it making him face me he seemed to have tensed up more than Nakahara kun had.

"Take off that shirt- oh wait!" I exclaimed having forgotten something "I haven't even introduced myself how rude of me. My name is Dazai. Dazai Osamu, and your owner is my subordinate" he tensed up even more when he heard my name, but didn't move his focus from my face.

"P-project 28A94" He stuttered, how funny

"Honestly, why are humans so dumb? I meant your name not that roll number"

"Nakajima Atsushi, sir"

"Now, take that shirt off" I ordered him and he obeyed he didn't have as many scars as Nakahara kun did and he had more fat on himself then him too, so I guess Akutagawa was luckier than me this time. "Good. Now, as to why I came here why don't you tell me what you know about project A5158?" I let go of his hair, stood up once more straightening my shirt and sitting on the bed again

"Y-you mean Nakahara senpai?"

"Yes, is there any other project A5158 where you come from"

" Y-yes sir- I mean N-no, sir! Nakahara senpai was the o-only project A5158"  his voice and body were trembling with fear

". . ."

"R-right well, a few years ago . . . ."

Third Person P.O.V

5 Years Ago

"Chuuya senpai! Chuuya senpai!" Young thirteen year old Atsushi ran down the long hall and turned a lot of turns holding a drawing in his hand, shouting his senpai's name, who was a more of an older brother to the young boy, the best older brother there could ever be.

But as soon as he turned another corner he saw a vampire taking him to the experiment room, even though it was pretty rare for humans to be taken there only those that showed promise were taken there and even for those the survival rate was less then 1%, so naturally Atsushi was scared - not for himself but his brother.

Atsushi hid behind the corner and held his breath, not wanting to be seen or heard, because if he was, he would've been killed, he made a run for it as soon as they entered the room taking the red head with them.

Atsushi ran faster then he ever had, as soon as the door closed, tears obscuring his vision, he remembered his beautiful smile, those eyes and the tenderness in his hand and his soothing voice to calm Atsushi down when he would have nightmares. Suddenly he remembered the conversation they had a mere few days ago

"I'll always be there for you Chuuya senpai!" the red head chuckled at the younger ones comment and replied:

"Oh? You will? Then I'll be there for you too!" the two broke out in a fit of laughter.

"Ane-san! Ane-san! Ane-san!" Atsushi screamed turning a corner and bumping into the beautiful and kind older sister of Chuuya.

"Calm down Atsushi kun! What happened?" she asked trying to calm him down by hugging him Atsushi hugged back crying in her shoulder

"They- they- they took him there Ane san, they to-. . . took hiiiimm and- and"

"Shhhhhhhh. Calm down Atsushi kun I can't understand what you're saying"

"Ane san. . . the vampires took Chuuya senpai" he managed to say it, between sobs, clearly enough for Kōyō to comprehend what he was saying.

"Wha-what? Where did they take him?" She knew well where they had taken him but there was a little hope they just took him for the monthly health checks, but that hope was crushed and her world came shattering down when Atsushi told her:

"They-They took him to the experiment room and it's all my fault I- I should have moved and saved senpai l-like I said I would. . . waaaaaaahh" Kōyō hugged him tighter while blinking away the tears  that threatened to roll down her cheeks, she eventually gave up on that and cried a bit- not much because knowing Atsushi, he would just cry harder if he were to see her cry. Atsushi ended up falling asleep in her arms, she carried him to his room that he once shared with her little brother, she laid Atsushi down.

Just thinking about all the things that would be done to her brother, brought tears to her eyes, her legs felt to weak to carry her weight and she fell to the floor, on her knees, and brought her hands to cover her mouth to muffle all the sobs as she cried to her hearts content.

It didn't take long for the news to spread and everyone that knew the red head was devastated but soon over came it, everyone other then Atsushi and Kōyō, since they were the ones that were closest to him, and knew him best, but as time goes on people move on and so did they

They would meet each other in the blood extraction chambers, but everyday it seemed like Chuuya was growing more and more distant and the shine in his eyes left too.
