I was trying to get in contact with the press, trying to get their attention. They haven't responded to my request. I was in a server room. A nice, quiet and dark place for me to work in secret. I heard the only door in the room open. Luckily I was at the far end of the room where I was blocked by one of the servers so the one who opened the door couldn't see me. I can hear a man shout, "Who's there, what the hell are you doing". In a panic I hurried and sent the email and closed the laptop and hid it. I got out of the server room to see one of the security guards waiting on the other side. "Beasley? They paged you three times already there was something urgent in one of the testing chambers. What are you doing here anyway, I thought you were a software guy"? I vaguely answered saying I was trying to find a quiet place to sleep. He told me to not sleep on the job or it's my paycheck. I really didn't care. I just wanted to leave this god-awful place. As I headed to the testing chamber I was assigned too. I can see all the patients here. Some men and some women but that's mostly it. None of them were human. I was heading to the Dragon section. You're probably wondering why would a software guy like me be in a place like this. The dragon I was assigned to was a silver one and I heard that it can mend people's minds so they made some sort of technology to suppress, by suppressing I mean putting it into electric shock but the servers in it break down a lot and they need me to fix it. Like I said before. I thought these people were crazy. I thought these were experiments not the real thing. I probably thought they used some sort of lizard to make this dragon. Oh how dead wrong was I. When I entered the room I was already getting shouted at. "Beasley, you are cutting it close and we're losing power we need you at the front terminal"! I was already in my seat doing what I do on the computers. I saw the dragon roaring trying to get out. Just when I was about to restore the machine I heard a pleading voice, "please stop if you got any compaction in you, please, stop, it hurts." I jump out of my chair and one of the scientist grab me and said "you are finished Mr. Beasley, You can leave, don't expect honesty in my review of your performance." I wasn't done with fixing the machine but I couldn't care less. My head was pounding for some reason. It felt like something was seeing something through my eyes. I heard one of the scientists mumble on my way out, "It spoke to him." I went back to the server room to get my laptop but how things turned out and fate decided to screw me over. My boss was there and he had my laptop on the desk with every email I had sent to the press. That's why my emails weren't sent. They prevented it. "So you decide to tell stories outside of class?" I tried to bolt it but there were guards right there. They threw me to the ground. I can hear my boss speak. "John Beasley, Consulting contractor 937, Software engineer with a level 3 security clearance. Graduating from Bream prep school but somehow not really smart enough to know when the fly ought not to do in a spider's web, is wiggle." He dropped the laptop, which shattered the laptop in half. My boss continues speaking. "Some how dumb enough to believe that you could send emails to anyone without us knowing. Stupid mister Beasley. I'm afraid we're going to have you committed. Mr. Beasley, would you submit to forced confinement?" I didn't answer but my boss spoke to one of the guards "did you hear that agent?" "He said yes, sir". Oh you gotta be shitting me. "Excellent, oh did I hear Mr. John Beasley wanting to become one of our subjects?" He didn't just say... "That's what I heard, sir." "You are very brave Mr. Beasley, we, and the rest of humanity thank you for your bravery and sacrifice. Give Mr. Beasley a good rest, would you?" "Gladly"! Next thing I knew I was getting beat up by three people all at once.
