I remember the first time when you gently touched my hand.
I was a baby with no mind, a child who couldn't yet understand.
I remember the best times when you would tell us about your pasts.
You were a father with a gift... of making beautiful memories lasts.I remember when I was down, how you'd tell me to put up a smile.
I was a kid with no knowledge, but that only lasted for a while.
Because you taught me things I didn't know.
You always knew when to say yes or no.
I find such comfort whenever you're around.
My truest best friend, I knew I already found.I remember when you taught me how to ride a bike.
You'd tell me the perfect time for a tire to strike.
I remember when you taught me the same thing about life.
That I would achieve great things, only if I strive.I remember the first time I landed a job,
when you said I was capable enough alone.
I was an adult with responsibilities.
But I'd still call you through the phone.
We were miles apart from each other.
Where our worlds are far from another.
Yet I still long for your presence...
and resented so much of your absence.I know I could've said all these before.
When you were around, alive, and well.
But I couldn't help but ask for more.
Now that you've bid your final farewell. In times of doubts, I'll think of you.
Whenever life throws me what I'd find hard to get through.
In times of happiness, I'll remember you.
Because you taught me how to always start anew.I'll remember the first time when you gently squeezed my hand.
I was your daughter by birth and will forever be.
I'll remember the last time when you said goodbye as planned.
I'll honor you with my existence---my father, you will always be.
