Estrella's POV:
I could here rain splattering loudly against the high, glass window of the auction room, though I couldn't see it as to the blindfold my overly kind husband tied around me before entering, i could hear it loud and clear.
I strained my ears harder ... i absolutely adored the sound of rain, it some how managed to calm me on the worst days, it drowned out the tortured screams and the yells of the people who had the fortunate opportunity to die and leave this cruel place.
"You better keep her quiet", i jump , exasperated. And i turn to my left and envision my husband (if i could even call him that) glaring at me with the type of hatred that could make absolutely anyone shake in fear.
"Did you not hear me the first time he growls out angrily". "O-ok" i manage to squeak out.
Next i could feel rough calloused hands roughly snatching the blindfold off my face.
I blinked hard trying to get my eyes to focus on the light.
I instantly snapped my neck over to where my World was laying in her cradle and i willed her not to wail at this particular moment in time.
As i turned back to face the audience of people who knelt before me my lips curled in disgust, powerful people of all sorts billionaires/Actors/Musicians staring up at my husband in awe as they had to get permission to even glance my way.
I turned back to stare at my Daughter... today her soul would be sold , her faith destined just like mine, i squeezed my eyes shut tightly and willed to just feel something .. anything.
I clutched the pendant hanging from my neck and i just rocked back and forth , back and forth.
For today my daughter Anastasia would be destined to a faith worse than death itself.
