"BOOOOM" The thunder/lightning struck again. Close enough where light was visible, but didn't catch the house on fire.
Kokichi sat under the blankets, curled up in a ball. He really hated thunderstorms. It reminds him of his past. How his Dad used to slam bottles on the table. How his Dad used to punch the wall when he was angry. Slight whimpers and heavy breathing could be heard from him.
Shuichi, unfortunately was at work. He was getting ready to leave when "BOOOOOM" thunder shook the building. He jumped, scared by its unexpected arrival. "I need to be with kokichi" he thought as he picked up his phone and papers and ran to his car. He tried calling kokichi earlier, but he didn't answer. Kokichi didn't hear his phone ring.
Shuichi started the car and drove into the night, praying that kokichi was ok, every second. He then arrived at home, grabbing his phone and EarPods and running inside. His jacket got a little wet because of the rain. Shuichi slammed the door open, and ran into his room. He didn't care that the lights were off. He didn't care that he was wet. He ran into the room and went right underneath the covers kokichi is using. "Baby I'm here, it's ok" Shuichi reassured kokichi.
"BOOOOM" More thunder. Kokichi jumped and yelped at the sound. Shuichi then took his EarPods, connected them to his phone and put them on kokichi. He went into Spotify and hit shuffle playlist. He could tell kokichi was calming down.
"I love you" kokichi tried his best to say through the music. Shuichi grabbed kokichi tighter and kissed him. For once kokichi felt safe again, in his husbands arms.
Shuichi then kissed kokichis cheeks, making him giggle a bit. Kokichi loved affection, and of course shuichi was good at giving affection. They continued to sit with each other until they fell asleep.
