As everyone else was outside the delivery room. Tam held on to her mother's hand. Squeezing it as hard as one could imagine. The cries of her struggle could be heard. It's that time of the life where most women question their existence. The pain grew and grew as the nurses and the doctor were asking constantly asking her to breath.
But soon, a new life was pulled out of her. she collapsed on the bed.

It was after a few days, when Tamtamis replied to her Silas

"My Silas

First off, congratulations. You're now a father of a beautiful daughter. We have still not named her as we are thinking of waiting for you. I am so sorry that you are not here but there in that terrible place but soon, love, you'll be on your way to Australia. Just hang in there for us.
Darling, as I wait for you here for months, even years. I hope you don't lay your eyes on any Aussie chick as I'll definitely know about it one way or another and shove Vegemite up your arse. Anyway, Mom and dad have said hello to you and so have our neighbours. We are all very proud of you. Every Sunday, we go to the church and pray for you.
Oh love, you know my girl friends, right? Muttaki and Juliet? Their lovers have also left for the Marines a few weeks ago. The government have started conscripting men at this point. It bothers me but I don't care about anyone else as long as you return to me. As selfish as that sounds. Remember the fire? It'll always burn inside me. And as long as it burns, I'll crave you, darling. Come back and HMT

Yours faithfully
G Tamtamis"

She giggled mischievously as she closed the envelope
