"... I'm sorry but I do have a couple questions about the, um... apocalypse..."
"Umm... okay. What are they?"
"... When does it happen?"
He sighed before answering, "April 1st."
"WHAT?!" You blurted out, causing a few people to give you both weird glances.
"I know, it's really soon, but I—"
"Soon?! That's like a week from now!"
"I know. That's part of why I didn't wanna tell anyone in the first place."
"... Well, do you have any idea how to stop it?"
"No. But, I do have a clue."
"What is it?"
"An eyeball."
"A what?!"
"Sorry, a glass eyeball."
"Oh. You scared me for a second."
"Sorry... would you like to see it?"
"You mean you have it right now?"
"Yeah, I can't really afford to lose it."
"Oh, well then yeah."
"Okay... I'll pass it under the table." He said as he stuck his arm with the eye in his hand out a little under the table. You reached under and took the eye, and brought it towards your lap to examine it.
"Wow," you said, before you passed it back to him under the table.
"Do you by any chance know who's it is?"
"Nope. I have absolutely no idea."
"Huh. Maybe we could check out fake eye... companies?"
"That's a good idea... there's one a couple blocks from here. Maybe we could check it out tomorrow?"
"Yeah, sounds goo—... Shit. Shit, shit, shit, shit, shit, shit, shit."
"What? What is it?"
"I'm sorry."
"For what? You're sorry for what?!" You asked, seconds before you heard someone cocking a gun behind your head.
And seeing Five staring directly above you in pure fear and panic wasn't helping at all.
"I'm sorry to intrude on you guys' little date, but I'm afraid I'm gonna need to borrow you both for a little while," you heard from behind you.
"What?" You asked, hoping someone would explain what was going on.
"Oh, I'm sorry. Do you not know?" The guy asked.
"Not know what?"
"That your boyfriend is a lying little cheat."
"What?!"
"Aww, Five. Why don't you tell her yourself?"
"I— I signed a contract saying that I'd provide them with certain crevices for a total of 5 years in exchange for freeing me from the apocalypse."
"And did you follow through on that promise?"
"... No. I didn't."
"Right, which is precisely why I've gotta deal with you two. Stand up. Both of you."
You both slowly stood up, and they told both of you to put your hands behind your backs.
"Oh, come on are the handcuffs really necessary?" Five asked.
