Singing Competition

The next day, Y/n woke up in a room she recognised from before but was still really confused of where she was. She heard a knock at her door and told the person to come in.

"Morning. Did you sleep alright?" Asked Jay.

"Yeah I did. Thanks." Said Y/n. "How about you?"

"Yeah it was good. Do you want any breakfast?" Asked Jay.

"Depends what you have." Smiled Y/n.

"I made some waffles." Smiled Jay.

"Oh yess. I will be out in a minute." Said Y/n.

"Okay. Also, Alli dropped off some clothes of yours and some lyric sheet as well." Explained Jay.

"Oh thanks." Said Y/n.

Y/n got dressed and then went to eat her waffles. She brushed her teeth and had 5 minutes before Jay was dropping her into school, so she grabbed her lyric sheet and started singing quietly.

"What is the sheet for?" Asked Jay as they got into the car. 

"Its for a singing competition today." Said Y/n.

"What time is it and can people come and watch?" Asked Jay.

"It is at 15:30 and anyone can come. Last year there was the fire department." Responded Y/n.

"Okay well good luck." Said Jay as he pulled up to the school.

Y/n walked in with Alli and went off to maths together. The rest off the day seemed to drag on. Alli nearly got in a fight with some girl because she stole Y/n's lyric sheet.

*The competition*

"Next up is, Ashley Carter." Announced the Principal.

Ashley started singing and Y/n realised that Ashley was singing her song that she rehearsed so Y/n had to think of something different to sing.

Alli was sat watching in the audience next to the Intelligence Unit who had came to watch.

"That bitch. She stole Y/n's lyric sheet and song." Muttered Alli.

"What is she going to sing now?" Asked Jay.

"I don't know, she can't sing the same." Said Alli.

"Next up is, Y/n Creave." Announced the principal again.

"I'm going to be singing Hold on by Chord Overstreet.' Said Y/n.

*Pretend the girl in the video is Y/n.* (The girl is actually Molly Shiveley, so all credits go to her).

Once finished, everyone clapped and Y/n looked to see the Intelligence Unit standing up and giving her a thumbs up.

"Thank you for everyone who performed the people in the final are Ashley, Y/n and Sofia."

"We will take a 10 minute break and then we will see each girl perform and judges will then vote."

"I didn't think you were entering, good singing though." Said Y/n.

"Thanks. It was more like a last minute entry. You did good too." Said Ashley.

"I know you stole my lyric sheet." Said Y/n.

"So what if I did." Smirked Ashley.

"I'm just saying good luck for the next song you are singing." Smiled Y/n.
