MHA ONESHOTS!

It's Been A Long Time (Todoroki)

It's was Y/n's first day in the infamous school — Yuei high school — it was also the first time in a while that she has been in Japan. The last time was back when she was around eight, probably.

She felt so lost, she lost her mother tongue and her old friends. Not to mention she joined right after the sports festival which she didn't get to see either. Y/n just stared at the stupid gates of this stupid new school as the stupid students walked around her.

Finally she got over some of these stupid nerves and walked in. "Hey erm where's 1-a?" She asked someone who seemed kind.

"What's up with the accent?" He scowled "are you mocking me?"

Y/n watched his pink eyes squint at her "you know what... I'll find my one way around!" She quickly got away before the guy could get pissed off over nothing again.

After wandering the halls for a hot minute she arrived at her new classroom. Everyone looked over at her in confusion. But one classmate looks at Y/n in nostalgia.

Todoroki's eyes widened and his mouth parted, he looked away for a moment before turning his gaze back to Y/n.

'Is that really her? It can't be she looks so much older... wait no people age. That's definitely my Y/n, I'm sure of it. Does she recognise me? Don't get ahead of yourself, she left you.'

The teacher stood up "oh everyone, this is Y/n. She's joining us for the remainder of the year."

"Hello, as Mr... Aizawa has said I'm Y/n and I'm happy to be in this class with all of you!" She smiled. Todoroki was definitely sure that was her. Y/n looked around at all the people there. She spotted Todoroki just as he spotted her.

'He looks super familiar!'

Y/n went to sit down in the only empty desk which was behind a guy with spiked red hair. He immediately greeted her "hey! I'm Eijiro Kirishima, great to see you!"

"Hey! I like your hair... and teeth! It's so cool!" She complimented making him flustered from the suddenness.

"Woah uh thank you, dude!" He nodded. That guy reminded her of the beach dudes back in Australia who would either be surfing, playing beach volleyball or hitting on her. She hoped this guy wouldn't hit on her.

"So I wasn't here for like a lot of the year... mind catching me up on stuff?" She asked.

"Sure, maybe at lunch though," Kirishima responded before turning back around.

Soon lessons ended and it was noon, the add break before the big finale a.k.a hero training. Everyone and I mean everyone crowded around her desk.

"Okay so on our first week we were attacked by villains... real life villains!" Mina squealed.

"Yeah it freaked me out..." Mineta shook in fear

"You idiots, before that we had a quirk apprehension test then our first training session with All Might," Bakugo interrupted.

"Which got you super freaking emotional over!" Kaminari cackled.

"Shut the hell up, dunce face!" Bakugo yelled angrily Y/n just laughed at them.

"Woah this class is hectic!" She giggled.

"Mhm!" Uraraka nodded.

Y/n turned to Todoroki "so what's your name?"

He looked angry... she didn't fucking remember him. Was he really that forgettable? "I'm Shoto Todoroki. And you're pretty ignorant," he stated coldly before marching away.

"Wait! Todoroki!" Midoriya chased after him.

She sat in silence in both confusion and offence. He was truly familiar... that name... that face... that hair...

"Hey Sho," she smirked as her head popped out from his window. Todoroki quickly got up from his chair and pulled her in a couple boxes and gifts gel to the floor.

"That's dangerous," he warned.

"I don't care, it's your birthday!" Y/n grinned widely as she collected all of the gifts and cards "I got you sooooo many things! Open them!" As demanding as always.

He nodded and opened them up, there was a heavily glittered-decorated box that shimmer in the sun that shone down from his open window. Inside was a quite large All Might plushie. Todoroki's eyes widened. "Woah, thank you," he placed the soft toy on his lap and continued opening the boxed and reading the cards all from Y/n.

"Look, look! This card looks like you! I have it goodly eyes and coloured it! My crayons have run out so you need to get more!" She smiled handing her favourite card over which she saved for last. It really did look like him, she even coloured on his scar!

Todoroki opened it up and inside was a pop-up drawing of Y/n and Todoroki playing on the swings and letter in bold saying 'HAPPY 12th BIRTHDAY SHO'. And in smaller writing it read...

'You're my best friend and I love you so, so much! I want you to have the greatest birthday of all time! You're so cool and deserve all the coolness in the world! Lots of love from: Y/n'

He looked up at her with eyes welling with tears he spoke with a wobbly voice "thank you Y/n!"

Y/n quickly leapt over and hugged him tight. She started sobbing as well "don't cry Sho' because if you cry I'll cry but ten times harder!"

"I'm sorry," he apologised.

"Don't be," Y/n shook her head into his shoulder.

... Y/n sat in shock as every single memory came back to her like re-watching a tv show. She remembered the day after he got burned and how she tried to not cry and stay strong for him, when she found him throwing up after training with his father, the day she left without a word no matter how much he needed her and the day they met at the park.

She got up "I need to find Sho." Everyone looked at her in confusion.

The halls rung with the crisp clacking sound of her school shoes and the jingling should of her many bracelets.

She found Todoroki and Midoriya talking together in the cafeteria. "Hey Sho! I remember!" She ran over "I remember!"

The two boys — and heck they whole cafeteria—looked over at her. "Okay?" Todoroki turns to her "do you remember how you just left without a warning?"

"I do... and I'm sorry. It was wrong of me but I just couldn't bare to see your reaction if I did," she sighed and looked down at her feet.

Todoroki looked down at her "leaving would've been one thing but leaving without saying anything is another... it's unforgivable."

"I know! And I'm so mad at myself for it!" She stepped closer her eyes starting to water... but suddenly Todoroki pulled her into a hug.

"I was so... worried. I thought something happened to you!" He held her close not wanting to let go in fear that she would leave again.
