"Mom?" A 10 year old Y/n caught the attention of the woman packing away dishes.

"Yes dear? What's up?" Mrs. Gojo asked.

"When's dad gonna get back? It's been two weeks and he might miss my birthday tomorrow."

"Don't worry Y/n." The woman kissed her daughter's forehead. "He wouldn't miss it for the world."

"I hope so. I understand his work is important and all but I miss him sometimes." Y/n sighed.

"I do too. But you know he's doing it to protect us. Just last month he told me that Yuji only has a few more fingers left before his consumed all 20 Ryomen Sakuna fingers." She spoke while wiggling her fingers in a spooky manner.

"Poor Yuji, I know that curse never washed his hands. Probably has dust and dirt under the nails, and considering the amount of germs on fingers, I'm surprised he hasn't caught all known diseases." Y/n joked.

"Aren't you a smart one." Mrs. Gojo laughed. "How bout we get you to bed? Want me to tuck you in?"

"Mom I'm not a kid anymore! But you can read me a bedtime story though. I love the different voices you do for the characters." Y/n laughed at one of the  memories of her mother reading her stories before she fell asleep.

"Alright, I'll take it. Now let's go." She walked her daughter to her bedroom.

Y/n got in her bed while her mother looked for a story to read to her.

"Ah!" She exclaims in excitement. "How about, the tale of the captive princess?"

"Yes please!" Y/n threw her fists in the air.

"Alright, Alright." Mrs. Gojo laughed. She opened the first page of the story book. "Once apon a time, there lived a young princess. She had everything she could ask for, except freedom. She only lived with her father and he would tell her she could go into any room she pleases, but she should dare not open one door." Mrs. Gojo read from the story.

""I wanna see what's on the other side of the door though." The girl said one night, she had turned eleven years old and her wish was to see what laid in the other side of that door. But as expected, her father refused." Mrs. Gojo used a younger and more childish voice for the words said by the young princess.

"Her dad is a jerk!" Y/n spoke up, cheeks puffed and arms crossed. "He's not like my dad."

"He definitely isn't." Mrs Gojo added before proceeding with the story. "One night, as her father had fallen asleep, she walked down to the kitchen for a late night snack. Once she saw an unfirmiliar set of keys on the counter, in that moment, she knew what he had to do. "I deserve this right? I'm the birthday girl!" She told herself before grabbing the keys and running to the forbidden door. She slowly unlocked it and the door was slowly creaked open. On the other side, she looked up and saw the bright shining stars dancing in the sky and a large round object accompanying them."

"Do you mean the moon?" Y/n asked.

"Yup!" Her mother responded, showing her the picture in the small book, and continued. "She saw the plants and fountain and felt the chilly breeze hit her face. Before she could look any further, footsteps could be heard from the large staircase. "Oh no." She quickly shut and locked the door before running off to her bedroom. But she was still curious about what she had just seen. So the next night, she took the keys from her father and explored. The end." Mrs. Gojo ended the story.

"Was she kidnapped!?" Y/n yelled.

"No, no. She wasn't kidnapped, her father was just a bit too overprotective of her. Now let's go to sleep Y/n. You've got a big day tomorrow." She kissed her daughter's forehead once more and left her room.

Once Y/n made sure her mother has gone to her room, she walked out of her bed and walked over to her dresser.

She crouched down until she could finally manage to pull out a box from under it. The box was labeled 'Dad and daughter' it was a collection of charm bracelets, photographs, toys and other memorial treasures collected by the girl which reminded her of her father.

She pulled out two old and warn out charm bracelets she had made back in kindergarten:

"It's not fair." The girl sniffed, tears brimming the corners of her eyes.

"Hey what's wrong pup?" Gojo came to pick her up from the kindergarten. It was the first day for her.

"No one wants to wear matching base-lets with me." She pouted.

"...base..lets?" Gojo asked, a single sweat running down his forehead.

"These." The girl proceeded to pull out two matching charm bracelets. "No one wants to match with me."

"I can match with you!" Gojo offered, his covered eyes shining with excitement. "I've never had a matching brace- baselets...I've never had matching base-lets before!" He squealed.

"So cool!"

"So cool." Y/n sighed at the memory.

She then proceeded to pull out a picture of her and her father riding on a roller coaster.

She was 8 at the time and could only ride with a parent besides her. The picture showed her holding on tightly to the bars with a mix of excitment and fear present on her face, Gojo had his hands stretched out with his mouth wide open, indicating that he was laughing with joy.

Y/n closed the box out of fear she'd spend too much time reminiscing about old memories. She attempted to put the box back in it's place but let out a hum of confusion when she felt the box hit something soft.

She slide the box back out and slide her hand under the dresser until she could feel what the object obstructing the box's path was.

A surprised gasp left her lips as the firmiliar sensation of a soft toy grazed her fingers.

She quickly took hold of the object and pulled it out for a better inspection.

"No way..." she stared at the medium sized teddy bear in her hands. "Mr. Sparkles?" She asked as though the toy would respond to its given name.

After inspecting the toy for a little more she concluded it to be her missing teddy bear her farther had gotten her when she was 5.

"It is you...I thought I lost you." After staring at the bear for a few more seconds her eyes grew wide with hope. "Is this a sign?" She stared out the window and pulled the curtains aside to gaze up at the stary sky. "Come back dad."
