(Michael's POV)
18 Days until full moon...
My phone began to violently vibrate in the snug pocket of my skinny jeans, I pull it out and my eyebrow raises in confusion. Mandela is calling me? Slowly I hit the accept button and raise the phone to my ear.
"Hello?" I say, my voice laced with confusion.
"Good morning Mr. Clifford!" She chirps back to me, "would you be interested in skipping school with my crew and I?"
I am slightly taken aback by her offer and stand in my hallway with my jaw slightly ajar.
"Hello?" She coos through the phone.
"Oh, I- uh I-I guess I could. If that's fine with you." I manage to stutter out.
"Cool, I'll pick you up in 10 minutes then." I don't manage to get another word in before she hangs up.
I sigh and run my hands through my hair, flopping down on my couch and repeatedly ask myself what is wrong with me, I know I shouldn't be missing school, I know my mum will be upset if she finds out but most of all I know I should not be hanging out with Mandela, because if I fall for her there will be no going back. I can't let that happen, but I have already text her telling her my address and by that point I know there is no going back.
**************
There is a knock at my door after a few minutes after Mandela called so I manage to pull myself from the comfort of my couch and drag my feet to the door. I swing it open to a beaming Mandela, her hair is glowing in the sunlight and her smile is brighter than the sun.
"I thought I should pick you up first because you're our guest." She smiles at me.
"Uh yeah that's fine." I blush.
