i woke up and stared at my ceiling for what seemed like forever, trying to figure George Weasley out, why was he 'following' me last night? what did he want to say to me? i collected my thoughts and burst into Edwards room, ed is a Ravenclaw too, we met 14 years ago through our parents, my father is an auror and my mum has a job in the muggle world
as a banker, ed's dad is also an auror , which is when we met each other as our dads instantly clicked, and Edwards mother isn't around anymore, she died a few years after we met.

i jumped on ed, trying to wake him up- he is always so difficult in the mornings, "ed wake upp" i begged  "i don't want to miss breakfast again" i sighed, "and so you remember, the big game is today yknow, gryfindor against Ravenclaw" 

"i know" he whispered slowly falling back asleep "you haven't shut up about it for fucking weeks"  he groaned

"okay so don't miss it"

"okay, just go get some breakfast i'll meet you down there"

i couldn't help but smile through the excitement and i left to get ready and go eat something, all the sweets i ate last night still left me hungry.

ed found me and we sat down, we wanted to find ginny, we decided to sneak onto the gryfindor table which was 'forbidden' at breakfast for some stupid reason. we slide onto the table and attack ginny with a hug, we hadn't seen her in a while. "eddie? eli? what are you guys doing here" ginny asked in an excited tone. "gin, where have you been for a week" i shouted "i'll tell you later" she winked before returning to her food,

"wow, a week, isn't that just such a long time" george mocked us from the other side of the table,

"shut up weasley" 

"make me"

i leaned over the table and put my hand over his mouth, "god weasley, you are so much cuter when your big mouth is shut"

did i just say that out loud-

he pushed my hand away from his face, "go annoy someone at your own table" he got up and walked away like he was confused and fred followed after him.

it was time for the game i had been practicing for every day, i was going to crush elodies ass.
just like every other time, but this time it would be better, in front of everyone. oh how i've waited for this moment. lee was doing announcements as usual, the game had started and the buldgers are released, everything was going so well, just as i had planned until chang overtook harry and the snitch was in arms reach, we were 25 minutes in when harry's broom got hit with a buldger and he went tumbling to the ground, me, Fred and a few other players ran over to the boy who was lying on the floor.

he raised his hand and opened it to reveal the snitch. we threw harry over our shoulders dancing and celebrating, after a few second i saw the ravenclaws, they looked defeated, except elodie, i didn't see her, i looked over at the benches to see her sitting with her head in her hands, it didn't feel as great as i thought it would, to see her down, it kind of hurt..

we lost.
i worked so hard for nothing, but it was just a game. us losing is not what has got me feeling like my heart is in my throat, it's my dad, he knew how important this game was to me. he promised he would watch but he lied.

he never even showed up.

maybe i'm overreacting, but it's like he never has time for me anymore.
