"Right here we are, Raven Ravine." Said Beth, looking over the steepest cliffs I have ever seen.
"So how do we get across?" Asked Flo.
"There's a bridge over there but we can only go one at a time." Said beth.
I looked over at the bridge and worry washed over me and it wasn't because of the sun. I had all ready gone to the village and changed clothes, I was wearing medieval clothes, with a cloak and a hood. I put my hood over my head to stop the sun from annoying me. The bridge was old and falling a part, to be honest I was scared of heights. I never knew I was scared of heights before now, it might of been because of the sun baked cliffs that didn't sound so appealing or it could of been the massif drop.
"Right who's going to go first?" Asked Beth, now that we were at the bridge.
"Um I'll go." Said Robin putting his had up, probably trying to be all manly in front of the girls.
He took one step onto the bridge and kept on walking, the bridge wobbled around and some planks of wood fell of but he got there safely.
"I'll go next." Said Flo.
Everyone got across without breaking the bridge. It was just me and Beth left.
"Go on then." said Beth.
I stepped onto the bridge and walked, one step at a time, hoping that Raven Ravine wouldn't be my grave. Stop that Harry you have done this before it's not like the bridge is going to break. i said to my self. I kept on walking, when I get to the middle of the bridge I heard this strange sound like something eating a rope.
"Harry run!" I heard Beth shout.
I looked at my feet and realised that there were thousands of tiny black beetles. I ran but the beetles just followed, as I ran I tried to kick them off my feet but it didn't work. Then without thinking I clapped my hands together as hard as I could, so that the sky went dark and there was a ball of darkness around me. I heard the beetles make hissing sounds then they went away. I clapped my hands again and the sun came back and the birds were singing again and everything was hot and stuffy.
I made it to the end of the bridge and collapsed on the floor.
"what were those things?" I asked Beth, who was now safely across.
"Sun Beetles." she replied.
"oh, so that's why that attacked me, I'm guessing they don't like the dark and they could sense darkness in me." I said.
"yeah how did you make a solar eclipse? you don't have the power of the galaxy do you?" asked Rosy, looking at me with big green eyes.
"no I have power Number 17, power of Darkness," I chuckled "but why do you ask?"
"because that's my power and what do you mean Number 17?" asked Rosy.
"well, look at your tattoo, it has a number on it. now those numbers are your powers, for instant, Peter and Flo both have Number 16 and you both have power of fire don't you." I said.
"oh yeah." said Peter.
"guys can we get going, I'm sure darkness boy has had plenty of res-" Robin was stopped by a scream, it was a girls scream coming from the woods.
"um Beth, that forest doesn't look friendly." said Rosy
"oh your right, that is Murder Wood and I think we are about to go in." said Beth.
