Chapter 1 Hey can i ask you something?

"Hey,... can I ask you something, Atsuko?" Yui asks the monster beside her.

He looks human, but doesn't have a human nature.

"Mhm." He groans in a polite manner to acknowledge her he's listening.

"Do you... think we'll ever..."

"What, be together?" Atsuko smirks.

Yui blushes. "...Yeah..."

He grins showing his teeth, patterned with fangs, then lays a hand on her head in a comforting way.

Their eyes meet.

"Don't worry Yui... we will be together... I will make it happen."

"...Alright... I'll believe you... Atsuko."

Just then, a rumbling noise came from all around the two.

"Ah! An earthquake?! Now?!" Yui shrieks.

The ground spilt and they were separated.

"Yui!"

"Atsuko!"

They reach out to grab hold of each other's hands but miss and nearly fall into the boiling, hot water bubbling below them.

"I'll find you, Atsuko!"

"And I will find you as well! Please... wait for me!"

The ground starts to spread farther away from each part faster and faster.

"Atsuko... I will! I promise that I will!"

RIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIINNNGGGGG!

Panting, I sit up in bed.

Was that all just a dream?

I sigh.
Holy cow, my dreams just keep getting wilder than ever, Huh?

"Kyou! You ready yet?"

"Oh- sorry mom! I'm getting ready!"

My mom sighs. "Such a silly girl... You'll be late!" Then she walks away.

I slide out of bed and get on my school uniform, just like any other day.

I brush my medium length, chocolate brown hair and wrap it in a ponytail with a long with bandage.

A thick strand of hair on each side of my head falls down in front of my shoulders smoothly.
Then I brush my bangs and grab my bag as I run out the door to school.

"Uh- Kyou! Breakfast!"

"I'll skip today, mom! But thanks, bye!"

My name is Kyou Hamasaki.
I have emerald green eyes and chocolate brown hair.

I live in a small town near a forest.
My mom believes in magic and my dad is always away on work in the ocean in a submarine.
I have two little twin brothers with red hair like my dad.
They look like him and I look like my mom with a little bit of my dad's genes.
(Mom: blue eyes, brown hair.
Dad: green eyes, red hair.)

My parents both think there is a secret hidden in the forest close to my house that states simply, if anyone comes across a special tree, they get sucked in. And only two people are chosen to go into it and come back out. No one else will know or even can.

But see, I don't really care for stuff like that. So I don't believe it.

But on my way to school today, I think I did.

Gasping for air, I stop at the buses entrance after running for so long.
That's when I feel a pull on my backpack and it slides off me.

I look down to see where it went, and then I notice that what caused my bag to fall off me was a cat-like being. Almost like a fox.
