Unexpected visit

I woke up the next morning to my phone blowing up. I look at it and see 50+ messages from my mum. I look at them and she is repeatedly saying my name so I replied.

Elle: "What the fuck do you want?"

Mum: "Me and your step dad got a divorce and I need somewhere to live and I see you're with Mason Mount so can I come stay with you for a bit until I have enough money to get my own place, I don't care that you're seeing your father and Kate now, I'm happy you get along with them, I miss you a lot Elle, please let me see you again and we can start over, fresh I promise nothing will get in our way this time, I won't let it"

Elle: "After the way you treated me? The way you treated dad? The way you treated Kate? When you were with that prick. No. I can't believe you would ask me that. You will just use me until you have sold enough drugs so you can then buy a shitty little flat and carry on selling and doing drugs. I don't want my family like that"

Mum: "I promise Elle, I don't do them anymore, I have been clean for 2 months now, as well as drinking and I plan for it to stay that way until I'm in the right mindset and on track with everything. Please just give me a chance forgive me"

Elle: "Fine. But it's only one chance. If you fuck up you're out of the house"

Mum: "I won't let you down, let me get a taxi there, where do you live?"

I told her the address and then got in the shower. When I got out of the shower Mason was awake and playing with the dogs

"Morning baby" Mase said softly

"Morning bubs, I have something to tell you" I proceed to tell him

"Go on..." He said

"So I had a text from my mum this morning, and she wants to live with us until she has money as her and her husband have had a divorced at first I said no but then she said she is clean and is planning to stay clean so I kinda said yes" I told him

"Okay, I finally get to meet her" He said

"I said to her if she fucks up shes out" I told him

"Fair enough, now let me get in the shower, we will wait for her to arrive then we can take her on a walk with us" Mason said

"Okay" I replied

Mason got in the shower and I got dressed and sat on the bed, Mase walked out of the bathroom, got changed and we started to watch a movie until we heard the doorbell ring. I ran downstairs and opened the door.

"Mum um hi" I said

"Hi Elle, I missed you!" She said

"I missed you too mum" I collapsed in her arms and started to cry. She hugged me tight and Mason came down the stairs

"Hi, I'm Mason" He said

"I know who you are, I'm Lucy" She said back. "I didn't know you was pregnant Elle"

I pulled away from the hug. "Yes, 7 months yesterday"

"Oh wow really? I'm gonna be a grandma" She said excitedly

"Kate is also 5 months pregnant" I told her

"Oh to 2, if she lets me see her" She said

"Actually to 3, I'm having twins" I said

"Really" Her eyes light up

"Yes" Mason came from behind and hugged me

"Oh I can't wait," She said excitedly.

"So, you can unpack and then we will take you on a walk with the dogs" I told her

"Dogs as well? I'm down for that" She smiled. I showed her to her room and then she unacked while we finished watching our movie, fed the dogs and then got them ready for the walk. My mum finally walked down the stairs and got her shoes on.

"Are you ready?" I asked her

"Yep, can we go see Kate please?" She said

"Yes, if you like" I smiled

We walked out the door and started to walk to Harry and Kates. After 30 minutes we finally made it and I knocked on the door and Harry answered

"Hey Harry, can we come in please?" I asked

"Um yeah sure, who's this?" He replied

"You will find out" I said as we all walked in. I walked into the kitchen to see Kate making lunch. " Are you making us some?"

"Elle? What are you doing here and who is this?" Kate asked confused

"Um mum wanted to come see you" I replied

"Hi Kate, you've grown up a lot" Mum said

"Mum?" She said confused

"Hi baby" Mum said

"Wait what?" Kate said confused

"This is mum, her nd dickhead got a divorce, she has been clean for 2 months and asked if she can stay with me until she gets enough money for a place to live so I said yes and now here we are" I smiled

"Oh right, hi mum" Kate said

"When I have enough money I'll take you all out for tea one night, I'll babysit whenever you want a night or day off I'll do anything to prove myself" she said

"No you don't have to mum" I said

"Block the dickhead on everything" Kate jumped in

"Already have" She showed Kate

"Get a good job" Kate said

"Already have at a restaurant" Mum redeemed herself

"That's enough she has proved herself" I said

"Go see dad again" Kate said slyly

"Kate!" I shouted

"No honestly it's fine Elle, I'll go see him, she wants me to do anything I will" Mum added "Let's go see him I guess"

Kate and Harry got their shoes on and we drove to dad's house and knocked on the door. He answers and sees mum

"Lucy? What are you doing here" Dad said confused

"Well Kate wanted me to prove myself so she said to come here so here I am" Mum said

"Oh well are you all gonna come in?" Dad asked

We all went in and chilled out. It got to about 6pm and we all started to get hungry so we ordered a pizza for us all. We ate the pizzas and then went home. Kate and Harry dropped us off and we went inside. Me and Mase went to bed and my mum stayed up watching films for a bit.
