one last time

you walked out of the dark room as confident as when you walked in but you were just keeping up appearances , those eyes.. tsaritsa was no one any one could mess with. You remembered her cold glare , how she looked into your eyes as if she could read every inch of your body and mind.

The sound of your heels echoed as you took a deep breath and opened the door of the meeting hall as you were instructed to. The cold air that brushed your hair when you opened the door sent chills down your spine but you didn't falter , there was a single person standing there . She smirked as if to show dominance.

"y/n huh?" She read through the single paper that was in her hand. "You will receive your delusion this evening when all the harbingers are present" she said as she walked towards you . "Congratulations or should I say-" she came so close to your ear you could feel her cold breath and wishpered "goodluck"

It was time for you to get your delusion , you could not mess this up just as everything you did till now it had to be perfect not a single error. You walked inside the room where the cryo archon herself stood with 9 of the harbingers .

She carried a gadget so delicately with her cold hands and with a single swift of her finger the delusion was now in the box behind her .

"The twelveth fatui harbinger y/n or should I say to be the twelveth" everyone in the room was confused by what she said as I had gone through and passed all her tests to be worthy of this position.

You were to be one of the highest ranking member of the fatui military working right under tsaritsa and receive your delusion. Unlike visions Delusions grant immense short-term strength to the wielder that might exceed human limits.

"You will receive your delusion, but not today." She said with a calm but commanding voice. Everyone in the room shifted a little confused by what tsaritsa meant. You were the most confused one out of all of them. "I will send you on a mission if you come back alive from it then you will be provided with your delusion the moment you step into this palace" tsaritsa announced.

"You will not go alone i will have one of my harbingers accompany you as it will be a long long mission for you" you were confused, panicked almost . Why now ? Everything went smoothly. You did everything you could to get here everything was perfect but the straight line had a crack now. Tsaritsa's sudden change of heart had made a crack in your path.

I have to fix this you thought over and over and over again in your head as you walked out of the cold room with the other harbingers.

"That's was quiet a show" sandrone said. You didn't look shaken up even a bit by it because you were trained for this to keep your shell so hard even morax's spear couldn't  break it.

Soon you were in a noisy hall filled with all the 10 harbingers including yourself , the missing ones unable to attend. "you think you can handle the job missy ?" Dottore asked "better than you" Sandrone interrupted "you tryna fight?" Dottore pulled out his weapon and so did sandrone . Signora stopped them both with a single push from her hands .

"Dont ! Not today" signora sighed . "How about we test the newbie here" signora walked towards you as she smirked. She poured some wine into a glass and asked you to drink it . You said nothing took the wine and drank it without a single hesitation.

Everyone gasped. It was poisoned. "Ooho i like the new girl" a ginger haired guy spoke from the end of the table . " how'd you do that!" Pedrelino asked in a high pitched tone. You said with a slight friendly laugh "I vaporized the poison" . Everyone seemed impressed. Though Signora had a cranky expression on her face.

"What's the matter signora" you said with a slight smirk. "scared that I might replace you as her favourite?" You said boldly.

Signora's eyes went wide as ever she raised her hand and you immediately got into your fighting stance. Signora threw an attack but the red haired guy was suddenly in front of you holding signora's wrist. "Come to your senses" he said with a calm but a tone filled with warning. " We can't have you guys murder each other can we ?" he said with a friendly tone and with a little smile on his face.

Signora sighed and the rest of the evening went on without any trouble until childe came and sat next to you.

"Childe" he greeted "y/n" you smiled. "You know I have some suspicions about you" he said . You were taken aback a bit by that. "I could say you're a bit suspicious yourself mister"

"What do you think about tsaritsa?" he questioned "are you testing me?" You raised your eyebrow as you sipped some wine. " well no small fry could take her on no matter how many of them there are" you said . "it's good that you know your place" scaramouche spoke as he overheard your conversation and went out of the room. " don't mind him" childe smiled as you did too.

After a long night of listening to the harbinger get on each other's throat every now and then you decided it was time for you to leave too

" guess I got to leave now" you said. "Alright hope I don't have to fight you anytime soon" childe said with a slight disturbing smile.

" you are no small fry are you"

You smirked at his statement and left the room without responding and with a smile on your face

"this might just be fun " you wishpered to yourself
