there she was. the infamous josie becker, laying on her couch in her apartment waiting for her boyfriend, elliot miller to come home from what ever he did in throughout the day. she was startled from her daydream by her phone ringing. elliot 's name came across the bright screen. "hello?" she said in a annoyed tone, already knowing something was going to go down between the couple. "hey babe" he hiccuped out. "of course he's drunk" she said to herself. "what do you want?" she sighed.

"what i want? i want to see you" he said. it made josie think back to when they first started dating, young and in love. she sighed once again, except it wasn't out of anger. it was out of sadness. "okay i'm coming to pick you up, be ready in 10" she mumbled then hanging up the phone before he got the chance to speak. she grabbed a hoodie which just happened to be elliot's. she took her keys and walked out the door and headed straight toward the parking lot.

josie didn't even have to take a guess as to which bar her boyfriend was spending his nights at. when she pulled up to the bar elliot was standing outside to guy which she assumed to be one of his drinking buddies. he hadn't even noticed that his beloved girlfriend had arrived to take him back to their apartment. "oh hey jos, i want you to meet my buddy from high school ronnie!" "ronnie my guy, this is my amazing girlfriend, josie." this 'ronnie' looked at her up and down while licking his lips before he introduced himself.

"ok thats it, it's time for us to go" she said with an annoyed and disgusted tone. "but i don't want to leave yet" he whined. "stop acting like a child and lets go" she grunted "fine" he mumbled in response. he sat in the backseat as josie sped away in her car. "why do you have to be such a party pooper, jos." he whined once more. "you cant be serious right now" she scoffed. "when was the last time you got a job hm?" "because it seems to me that i've been the one who as been working my ass off to pay the bills, not you." she let her anger out after holding it in for awhile. the rest of the ride back was filled with silence.

once they returned to the apartment josie walked in only saying "i'm going to bed" before disappearing. later into that night josie laid awake on her bed thinking, facing away from elliot's side of the bed. thinking about every decision she's ever made, contemplating whether if it was good or bad. in the midst of her thinking, she was joined in bed by elliot. "hey uhm i don't know if you're awake but i'm sorry about earlier. i'm really trying to change for you" he paused for a second. "i love you, josie" he whispered in her ear. he laid back down while she stayed awake with tears rolling down her face.
