Norman POV
Ever since mom caught us near the wall she's been eyeing me and ray from across the dining hall. Unfortunately Emma also noticed apparently because she speaks up.
"Ummm... Norman? Ray? Mama is staring at you guys pretty intensely... Is it something to do with you guys coming back late from playtime?"
She lowers her voice even more.
"Did she catch you hiding the supplies?!"
She whispers with worry in her eyes.
Ray speaks up
" No, she didn't. We just lost track of time near the wall and ummm"
He stops and turns away the tips of his ears turning red.
I pipe in " She just saw us coming back from the wall and is a little suspicious I presume"
Emma looks relieved
"Ok ok. Be more careful next time guys! We can't risk her finding out"
I smile at her.
"Don't worry Emma we will"
