My name's Irene.
I come from a small village not too far from the beautiful Rome, in which I currently live.
My story might appear rough, and you might label me as "someone who's been through a lot", but really, I've been through little to nothing. Not yet.
I can almost see it, your little curious face. And even tho I hate talking about myself, here's my beautiful, yet terrific past.I have no idea who my father is.
My mom used to work in a strip club, but sometimes she got carried away, or at least that's what she told me, and slept with several men.
Oh how I miss my mom.
Camille Rossi. A drug addict. Made me pee in way too many cups.
She was never a relationship person, she always said one time was enough, which is why she despised me.
I still loved her. Even when I ran away, 4 years ago. I still remember the wind dragging my hair in the opposite direction, while I was on my neighbour's freshly stolen scooter (which is still in my garage, by the way), tears running down my face, as I smiled like never before.
Dang, I miss it.I now work at a thrift shop near the Colosseum and lately, I've been seeing a lot of teenagers in my shop. Trends, pretty typical, I shall say.
Well, more money never hurt nobody.Oh Lord, I almost forgot.
Haikus, yeah.
My mom loved those, she always wanted me to write them for her. She said they were like a drug.
And now, I have the same relationship with Haikus as I have with nicotine, I can't seem to have enough.Ok now, enough talking about me, I have to get to work, either way.
As i ran away,
the wind through my hair felt
like freedom and peace.
