We Get Jet-lagged

Piper POV

I thought we'd get kicked off the flight, to be honest. Leo was lying sideways on the seat with his feet on Calypso who was barely restraining herself from throttling him, Jason and Percy were playing Uno very loudly, Frank had turned into a rabbit and was lying on the now sleeping hazels stomach to ease her flight sickness. Then of course Nico and Will sat together, awkwardly sharing snacks while Nico taught Will how to play Mythomagic. "Why aren't they together already?" I groaned to Annabeth who had been trying to read but had gave up after a couple of minutes because of the noise. She laughed, "well Nico is shy and must have a lot of internalised homophobia from growing up in the 30's that he needs to deal with and we all know he hasn't quite accepted himself yet... as for Will, he knows that and is afraid of being rejected" Annabeth finished. "But they're so CUTE together" I hit my head against the seat in front. Maybe I'm not how you'd imagine an Aphrodite child but it still annoys me when two people so clearly like each other and do nothing about it. "well, why don't we help them out?" Annabeth suggested, "give them a little nudge in the right direction, you could say?" I grinned, this was going to be fun. Annabeth and I spend an hour or two thinking about ways to get Nico and Will together, but eventually we ran out of suggestions and decided to take a look at the map. 

We would land in Bristol and find a car there (as much as I don't like to, we don't have the money to spend on a car rental if we want to be eating so I'll be using my charmspeak) have a look around the city, go to Bath and visit the Quantock Hills, then we'll go counter clockwise round the country and stay either in hostels or just find an abandoned place and sleep in the car. "I can't wait to go to Oxford and Cambridge, if I was British I think I would have tried to get into one of those" Annabeth mused aloud. I must admit that I'd seen pictures of Oxford and Cambridge and they did look beautiful. Personally I was more excited for London, as we had tickets for 'Six- the Musical' and I was a huge fan. The trip would be three weeks in total and I couldn't wait!

Percy POV

Jason smirked as he put down a +4 card. His last card, dam the son of Jupiter. "Brooo, why would you do that to me? I thought we were friends!" I fake sulked. Jason laughed, "sorry man, just the name of the game" a few minutes passed with me and Jason chatting. I WAS SO BORED! I looked around and noticed Will staring at Nico, again. Jason noticed me watching and grinned, "they really like each other, don't they?" I nodded and sighed, "but neither one can see it in the other so they just constantly pine for each other" Jason went quiet and then said "what if we try and get them together on this trip? Three weeks together has to be the best chance we've got at making it happen so far" and so the plan was born. We had a few ideas, like getting them alone in a romantic spot, following them around and bullying them both into admitting their feelings or getting Will to sing a song to Nico around a campfire. The first could arguably work but no guarantees, the second might just make them angry or upset and we doubted Will would agree to the last idea, even if we told him that Nico liked him too. Feeling annoyed and defeated we decided to watch a film, I wanted to watch 'The Little Mermaid' but Jason insisted on watching 'Hercules' even though it's wildly inaccurate, why do they use the Roman name it should be Heracles because it's set in Greece, why are Titans obeying Hades, why do the Titans look like that and WHY DO THEY SHOW HERA TO BE NICE SHE TRIED TO KILL HERACLES FOR GODS SAKE! But Jason likes it anyway and I must admit it is very funny and the songs are catchy. 8 hours left.

I could not sleep. It was too hot. I was hungry. I missed Annabeth, she was only a few seats ahead but I still couldn't talk to her and as much as I love Jason we had run out of things to do. An hour later salvation arrived in the form of the food trolley, in honour of the Hogwarts Express scene in Harry Potter, Jason and I got a bit of everything, including popcorn as we had decided to just pay for a few new films to watch so stave of the boredom. I looked out of the window, which I had to fight Jason tooth and nail for, and looked out over the clouds. It was beautiful. I could just see the ocean below us, golden light shone through the window. Soon after we'd finished the 2nd film of the flight Jason swapped seats with Annabeth so he could be with Piper, I looked over at my girlfriend and smiled. The sunset made her hair glow and her grey eyes stand out even more. She put her head on my shoulder and sighed, maybe out of happiness, maybe out of boredom. I didn't ask. After I while I said "I was thinking-" "was it hard, Seaweed Brain?" she questioned sleepily. I pushed her off my shoulder and she groaned immediately snuggling back into my arm and I grinned. "So... I was thinking" I continued, "we should try and get Will and Nico together on this trip" Annabeths head jerked up "Piper and I were just talking about that! I think so too, I can't deal with the unresolved romantic tension for much longer" I grinned "well lets talk about it with the others when we land, we'll be there in 2 hours and I'm tired"

Leos POV

I hardly slept the whole time, after I took my feet off of her, Calypso talked for hours about how excited she was about travelling again. When she got onto the topic of The Eden Project it looked like she'd keep on going till we got there. Wanting to be a good boyfriend and keep on listening, I ordered an espresso with 5 sugars in order to stay awake. Of course by the time I'd drunk the whole thing Calypso was asleep, and I was very much awake. Not that I was complaining, she looked so peaceful asleep, more than she ever did awake, not that I blame her, I get on my own nerves sometimes. I put on my headphones and played 1989 by Taylor swift, followed by Folklore and Evermore until I fell asleep for an hour or two.

I was awoken by the Pilots voice, "We are about to land in approximately 10 minutes, please start collecting your belongings from beneath your seats, remain seated" Calypso squealed and began trying to get our stuff together, as the plane landed she was taken by surprise and ended up falling sideways onto my shoulder. I smiled down at her and she scowled, but kissed me on the cheek on her way back up. I blushed. 

Will POV

Nico was still asleep, despite the rough landing and I wasn't sure whether or not to wake him. Partly because I was afraid he might punch me, also because looked adorable with black hair half covering his face and- "enjoying the view there Will?" Jason said. Percy sniggered behind him and I felt my face heat up. I nudged Nico awake and we walked into the airport, shivering from the cold drizzle. "I thought it was supposed to be summer" Percy grumbled, "it rains around 170 days out of the year in England" Annabeth told him and we all groaned. I don't like the rain, maybe because my Dad's the Sun god, this should be fun. "we came here for a summer holiday, not a shower" I grumbled and Nico laughed. It was all I could do to stop myself turning the same colour as Apollos' sacred cattle. We trudged to the nearest 'Premier Inn', the jetlag was really kicking in as we checked in. Nico and I shared a room with twin beds but I didn't have time to think about that because as soon as I got to the bed I fell asleep, muddy shoes all over the bed, I'd sort it in the morning.
