"Bancho tune yeh to nahi bataaya ki humari hotel kidhar hain..?" Bancho looked questioningly at Bhuvan.
"Sameer ko pata hain. Usne uss din..." Bhuvan began.
"Morjim Beah mein hain" touching his nose, Sameer interrupted. "Gaadi mein ded ghante lagenge traffic na ho to"
"Ded ghante!" Bancho exclaimed, and then sighed and sunk back in his seat.
"Main to pahaunchte hi so jaaunga" Bhuvan yawned.
Not only him, but all of us fell fast asleep after we had checked-in into our hotel and gotten our rooms.

It was 1p.m. when I woke up. Sitting up on bed, I looked at the mirror which was right in front of my bed. A girl with messed up hair and red, swollen eyes stared back at me. I swiftly looked away. The slanting rays of the blazing afternoon sun came into the room through the gap between the balcony curtains and fell on the floor, creating a small golden patch on the carpet. I stretched my arms and legs, and got down from bed.
By the time I had come out of the shower, Bhuvan, Bancho and Sameer were awake. We went down for lunch together.
"Ye kaunsi fish hain bancho?" Asked a confused Bancho, holding up something from his plate for us to see.
"Ye to Mackerel hain" I said, recognizing. "Iss dish ka naam 'Mackerel Recheado' hain. Goa ki bohot famous seafood dish"
"Aur ye angoothi type dikhne wala?" asked Bhuvan, pointing at plate with Squid Masala Fry in it.
"Woh Fquid hain hutiye." said Sameer, and I nodded in agreement.
"Bancho isse achchha Chhole Bhature mangwa lete... " Bancho looked at us.
"Bhadwe yahaan aake bhi wahi khaayega to aaya kyun? Nayi cheefein try karni hahiye na humefha" Sameer told him.
"Haan na" I agreed. "Bohot tasty hain, khaake dekho"
Post lunch, we went to the beach. We had heard that Morjim had the quietest and most beautiful beaches, and true it was. The seashore wasn't crowded at all. The water was purely blue, and unlike most tourist beaches in India, was quiet clean. Despite the afternoon heat, a light breeze kept blowing, making the palm trees behind us sway to and fro in a jolly, friendly manner. As we went forward, the white waves came and touched our feets, as in to warmly greet us.
"O bancho..." Bancho yelled. pointing at a large croud of tiny black beings at a distance. "Woh kya hain?''
"Turtles" I shouted and ran forward. I knew they were harmless.
"Kaise turtles?" Bhuvan followed me with his camera, looking interested.
"Olive Ridley Turtles" I answered, as both of us reached the spot and bent down to stare at the group of small creatures. These weren't full grown turtles, but babies. The grown ones were quite bigger than the smaller ones, and also looked different. Morjim was famous for this species of turtles.
"Bancho itna kaise jaanti ho tum?" Bancho asked, impressed.
"Thoda bohot research" I laughed shyly.
Evening had us visiting a bar nearby.
"Yevkar" the waitress said with a broad smile.
"Hein?" Bancho stopped
"Konkani hain" I whispered. "It means "welcome".
A big thankyou to SamanthaFernandes575 for helping me out with all the research on Goa. This chapter wouldn't have been possible without her guidance. I love you Samie 😘. Thankyou again ♥️
