Part 1
I looked out my window to see the moon so luminous and adequate. It was the most beautiful thing I’ve ever saw. I wanted to get out and get so fresh air. I don’t know what happen after that, but I remember running in the forest. The moon shone down upon the tops of the trees and on the besotted grass. The gray clouds begin to cover the moon and its luminous light. It began getting darker and darker. My eye sight wasn’t always the best when it came to night time, but I continued running until it got too dark for me to see what was ahead. I stopped in fear of accidentally tripping over falling tree branches or something else. It began to thunder like a lion’s roar, and rain like cats and dogs. I had no clue where I was or even how to get back. In my mind I didn’t want to go back, but in my heart it told me go back before something bad happens. But I never listen to what my heart had to say. I found a tree with a big enough hole for me to fit in so I wouldn’t be out in the open. It was very cozy even though it felt like I was in a can packed with sardines. I told myself I was going to stay there until morning then I’ll go back home. I awoke to the foul smell of either wet dog or something really excruciating. I open my eyes to the bright of morning. The sun was eminent in the sky, but whatever that horrid smell was, ruined the whole beauty of the morning. I being walking back home in fear of my mother or father worrying to death, since I’ve been gone. It had to be around 11 a.m. But I didn’t too much care. As I walked I kept finding tracks of blood on the forest floor. It scared me, so all I could think about was getting out of here as soon as possible. It felt someone was flowing me, but I didn’t pay any attention, until it felt like whatever or whoever it was, was literally breathing down my back. The hairs on my neck begin to ascend and then the rest of my hair followed. I begin to run, until I reached the main street. My house was along the main street, so I just continued to run until I reached my house. There were police car alongside and in the drive-way of my home. I thought to myself…Well I guess they called the police for a missing person case. I walked through the front door not caring that my clothes were soaked, my hair was all over, and I had tears in my pants and shirt, from sleeping in that tiny hole. But I found my mother crying on the couch, my dad talking to the police and showing pictures of me, and my little brother sitting on the floor playing with some building blocks. When I just stood there and looked at them like they were crazy, my mother attempted to give me a hug, but the police stopped her in her track, and told her not to touch me in fear of her getting rid of the evidence. They thought I got rapped or something, but in reality nothing happen. I just wanted to get out and get some air. I told the police over and over again that I was fine and to go on with their day, but they kept saying let us test you, let us do this and that, but I rejected it all. I ran upstairs to my room, got some fresh clothes, and headed for the shower. I took a long hot shower. It felt so refreshing, and the best part was feeling clean. My father knocked on the door so hard it made the walls shake, and the floor rumble. I knew I was in loads of trouble, but whatever. He called my name, as in an attempt to get my attention. “Jazmine Alexander Wilson” he yelled repeatedly. I swung open the door to see his face red like a tomato. He was more than mad, he was furious. I had no chance of telling him my story, he begin bellowing at me. His saliva flowing everywhere. He hit me hard in the face, which made me lose my balance and fall flat on the floor. It didn’t hurt much, since he has hit me before, but harder. He looked at me, then held his hands to his face and said sorry sweetie, I-I didn’t mean that. I saw my mother from the corner of my eye in shock of seeing me lying on the floor holding my face. She didn’t help me in horror of being hit by my father also. My father walked away moving rapidly almost knocking my mother out the way. My mother rushed to my side, and grabs me. She told me everything was going to change soon. She has said that so many times I can’t believe one word that comes out her mouth anymore. I brushed her off, and ran to my room slamming the door after myself. Later that night I heard my parents yelling at each other. Figures, they can’t go a day without fighting. I closed my eyes trying to block out all the yelling, but it was so loud I couldn’t concentrate. I grabbed my headphones and I began to drift away. I woke up around 2:35 am in a cold sweat. Breathing hard
