Today's the day.
"Five years passed Junie. But you're still here." Wiping his tear Zee went to the door tying the neck-tie. That pink flower, dried and dead one; the biggest candle he ever bought, that one special card he ever bought were in the showcase before the door. He glanced at them, then the ruined hanging balloons which he never put down.
"There you are!" he smiled painfully looking at the little pair of pink shoes his princess would always wear, on the doormat. "Let's go, my litte princess." He left the car-key on the shoe-rack and rode the very own bicycle he used to ride, on the way to Junie's school despite being the CEO of the biggest business company.
He went into the Auditorium and stood firmly before Junie's memorial. "Because I found my princess in the end of June" he whispered to himself.
There he stayed stood for an hour without saying anything to anybody just like the past years. He didn't know what speech the teachers made and when they left. All of a sudden, footsteps were heard in the empty breathless auditorium. The girl whom Junie saved finally came to see her memorial after all these years.
Zee recognised her at one stare but said nothing. The girl said, "She was ACTUALLY the little princess. I was the one who was the ugly duckling."
Taking a deep breath Zee looked away and said, "Only if you knew what the story meant."~~~
