Promises

Remus was sitting on the same bench he met Hayley. He was thinking about what happened yesterday night. He was suddenly crying at the thought, that he was no longer a normal human being.

He didn't notice when his head was placed on someone's chest, it was only when someone kissed his head and wrapped a jumper around him, he realized he was in someone's arms. He looked up to see Hayley already looking down at him.

He wrapped his arms around the 5 year old girl crying harder. His birthday was in 2 days and did you know what came before that?

The full moon, his father explained to him what was going to happen and he felt terrified. They both stayed quiet for a few seconds, Hayley playing with his brown curls, while his face was buried on her neck crying.

He pulled away after a few minutes. He didn't want to tell her. He didn't want to scare her. He didn't want to loose her.

Hayley smiled knowingly, she placed her hands on his soft face gently. "I'm not scared of you Rem.....I don't care if you're a werewolf.....I will never leave you no matter what" she whispered.

He looked at her in shocked "How did you know?" He asked, she chuckled before responding "Those scars on your face tell a lot" she whispered kissing his cheek. Even though Remus was 4 years old and Hayley 5 the two still did a lot of cuddly stuff.

And Remus adored it.

"You're not scared? Or going to leave me?" He asked, she chuckled before whispering "Never ever" she told him kissing his other cheek.

They stayed there quietly. Before she spoke up.

He smiled softly "I promise to never leave you" she whispered to him. "You promise?" "I promise"
