With my last ounce of strength, I pushed my elemental dragon to flap his wings one last time until exhaustion completely took over me and he disappeared into thin air. I fell a few feet and landed in shallow water. My right arm started to sting, the barely treated wound Nadakhan had left me still too fresh. It would probably leave a nasty scar, a reminder I would rather not have.

Nya and Lloyd rushed to help me and aided me in getting up and getting me onto dry land. I spat onto the sand of the beach, trying to get the salty taste out of my mouth as I flopped onto the ground with my back first whilst breathing heavily and reached for my back pocket to pull out my cigarettes. By some miracle, they had stayed dry.

''And?'' Nya asked, her and Lloyd looming over me with questioning looks on their faces.

''Not a damn chance.'' I shook my head and pulled my lighter out of the other pocket. I ignited the flame and stared at it for a second, noting the way my stomach churned at the fire and apprehension began to anxiously sink into my bones. Even after all these months, I still hadn't fully gotten used to something as ridiculous as a tiny flame from a lighter.

''Didn't even catch a single glimps of any land, there's no way we're gonna make it back to Ninjago.'' I mumbled and ignited the cigarette hanging from the corner of my lips and took a deep drag. Immediatly, the salty taste in my mouth got replaced with burning tobacco and I felt my muscles relax and my breathing even itself. Hours of flying my elemental dragon had left me exhausted and exasperated. I was, frankly said, in a bad fucking mood.

My hair clung to the sides of my face, a combination of sea water and sweat that made me do nothing more than take a goddamned shower and Nya and Lloyd weren't looking any better than me. Their faces were damp and reddened from the humidity as well, not to mention that their gis were practically drenched in sweat by this point.

It was sometime in the afternoon, only a few hours after Jay had been abducted by Nadakhan and the three of us were trying to find ways of getting off the Tiger Widow Island. So far, I hadn't been successfull in reaching Ninjago with my elemental dragon, which meant Nya and Lloyd most likely wouldn't be able to reach it either which left us with few other options.

I sat myself up and looked at what the two of them had been busy with before I'd arrived. It was mostly a pile of logs and plants but you could tell what they had crafted so far was supposed to resemble a raft.

Getting up on shaky legs, I took another drag and nodded towards the build.

''You really think that's gonna work?''

''It has to. I mean, what other option do we have?'' Nya replied and I responded with an exhausted huff and walked over to the soon-to-be-raft. With hesitation, Lloyd and Nya followed suit.
