Marisol Jimenez also known as Sol is a Cuban American journalist, photographer, and co-host of the podcast, A Cup of Solecito.
Early life⌄
Marisol Jimenez was born on December 26, 1988 to Javier and Monica Jimenez in Ontario, Canada. Marisol is the oldest of four children. Growing up Marisol's favorite subject was English which lead her to discover journalism. After high school Marisol attended and graduated from the University of Western Ontario in 2011.
Career⌄
After graduating, Marisol moved to New York to work for Rolling Stone magazine. She worked for the magazine for a few years before deciding to become a freelance journalist and photographer. Working with magazines such as Vogue, Vanity Fair, GQ and many others.
In 2015, Marisol started a podcast with her best friend and musician Miles Lee called A cup of Solecito, which translates to sunshine. The podcast focuses on pop culture, interviews, among other things.
