"Miss Jones, Is there anything you wish to add to the statement made by Mr Live" Judge Noreen Asked

"No your honour, My client and I still need time to go over our statement" I said

Judge Noreen nodded his head, "Then court shall be ajurned Thursday the 18th at 9 am, Court dismissed"

The gavel hits the wooden block, "All rise"
We all stood up as the Judge Noreen left the court room

As soon as he was out of sight, everyone began leaving the court room

I looked at my client Moris, "We might have a chance of winning this case, but I need you to stay on your best behaviour moris" I said firmly

Moris was caught with a vehicle filled with guns and drugs on his way to Colombia

Now here we are fighting his case, "Ya man, whatever. I just wanna get outta here and back to my family" he said

The officer then came to take Moris away, I sighed

I began packing my papers, " We both know that man is going nowhere, stop giving him false hope sweetheart"

The nerve of this man, I could feel my blood boil

"Not today Live" I said not looking at him, As I continued to pack my files

Once I was done, I turned and looked at him. He stood the 5 ft 2

Light skinned with a fade haircut, his hands in his pockets and smirking at me

"Shouldn't you be worrying about losing this case?" I asked him

He let out a loud chuckle, "Me? Lose? Ohh, please, I've been in this game for years. You just a new comer who is trying to continue her father's legacy" he said

"You don't know anything about my father, Shut your mouth!!"

I hate when people talk about my father, He was a great lawyer. Everyone In Atlanta knew Mr Jones, he owned a law firm Jones Justice. Which I'm currently in charge of

He passed away last year, He was shot on his way home from work

The investigators believe it's one of the guys he sent to prison, who shot him for revenge

"You know what Live, Just because your father and you have won every case this past year does not mean Jones Justice won't -"

"Won't what? Win? Huh, funny. Everyone in this town knows Jones Justice is going bankrupt and in no time it will shut down" he said laughing

Live and his father owned a law firm, which was always trying to compete with us

And he was right, the Jones Justice was going bankrupt but, I was not going to let him know that

He would just feel like he won a jackpot if i admitted it to him, "I don't have time for this Live. Have a good day" I said walking away from him

He chuckled, "Go out with me" He said before i could make it to the door

I stopped on my tracks, And turned around. "No, Thank you" I offered a tight smile and walked away

Once I was outside, I could finally breathe. I looked at the sky and sighed 'Oh daddy how I miss you' I thought to myself
