When Morgana buried Mordred, you see a human side to her, that hasn't been seen for ages.

And she sees the Druid boy, lying dead on the hard ground, the ghost of a smile still etched upon his face. She takes his lifeless hand; noting the coldness. She closes his eyes. A tear falls down onto his face, followed by more. Closing her own eyes, she remembers him alive, as the small boy, hurt and scared, as the young man who she saw for the first time in years at Ismere. As the memories flood her mind, she feels a pain in her heart. She knows the pain will not go, but will stay with her until the end of her days.

She buries him on the hill, underneath the only tree. He always said it was his favourite place. A cairn marks the spot where his head lies, but she also drives his sword into the ground, to remember him by; her best warrior and friend. She is broken, and you can see this madness in her eyes.

She knows that Arthur must die. To avenge him. The Druid boy, Mordred.
