Are you cold?

Jenna sat at her desk, looking longingly out the window."when will this class end..." she thought to her self. Her eyes quickly darted to the figure now slowly walking into the room. The classes eager conversations soon turned into low whispers. "Ah yes class, this is the new student that will be joining us! Elizabeth shadow Barker Hill," the teacher spoke with a tired monotone voice. "Make sure they feel welcome,". Jenna's eyes wondered over the other. Elizabeth. They had short hair, dark. They were rather tall definitely taller than Jenna. She couldn't help but meet eyes with the other, turning around at the window with the growing blush that only reddened when the dark haired person took the empty seat next to her.

"...hey,I'm Jenna." She spoke avoiding their eyes. Their hazel eyes looked like a painting of landscape.
"Lizzy, I prefer it," they replied with slight eagerness." It's nice sitting near the window ,huh? Though I get cold easily, I don't like being cold I get all sniffly and fuzzy?"
"I like the cold especially when it's snowing, it makes the look angelic." Jenna said finally meeting the others eyes, blush soon cover her face. She always hated how red she got. Lizzy's face also turned a light shade of pink. Shell pink.

They walked out the classroom to the cafeteria. "Sooooo..." Lizzy dragged on the vowel. "It's this way, they don't sell a lot but I usually buy a sandwich and a water." The other replies. "After I've got it I sit under the tree near the gymnasium," she explained while pointing over to it.
"Right....." Lizzy squinted their eyes to see but clearly failing to locate the earlier mentioned tree. It was adorable Jenna thought.No it wasn't, I'm straight. Right?.
"Tuna? Ew I hate fish hahah," Lizzy snorted. " ironic though hehe-"
"Hm? How?" Jenna asked genuinely confused buy the latters statement. "Oh ha- uh I'm kinda into girls...?"
"Oh"
"Is that a... problem?"
Jenna thought. Imagining a girl kissing Lizzy. She hated it.
"No." Jenna said eyebrows furrowed. Lizzy only turned and picked up a ham sandwich. They walked in silence until they reached the tree. Jenna pulled out her phone quickly snapping a photo of the taller standing next to the tree. One hand on the trunk , sandwich in the other. "Huh?" They said Turing quickly face that shell colour again. Jenna walked over and showed the picture." That's... really good," Lizzy said, seemingly unfazed by the photo now. " I want to be photographer." The orange haired girl replied.
"Wow," Lizzy looked at the photo and then the other, faces inches from each other . Lizzy stumbled back. Jenna stood frozen, although the heat on her face would say other wise. They sat next to each other and spoke in a comfortable company.

A month had passed since Lizzy had joined the class. Over that month they had only gotten closer. It was a cold morning Jenna had a parka styled coat on. And Lizzy had a plain over sized hoodie on." Aren't you cold?" Jenna asked noticing the others red nose. "It's fine." Lizzy smiled. This made the orange haired girl heart skip a beat and stop." You okay?" The taller asked concerned.
"Yep," Jenna answered too quickly. Maybe I need a heart test, she thought.
"So where exactly is it that we're going?" Lizzy asked looking Jenna in the eye. Those eyes... those hazel eyes. " I was thinking going to the fair," The other stated.
"Fair? Aren't those like in the summer?" The taller squinting.
"No this one is a winter celebration, there's stalls and food stands," Jenna explained. " Oh, okay." They walked in a comfortable silence hands brushing as they moved. Jenna still pictured Lizzy kissing other girls, it never felt right but one thought crossed her mind . Her face flushed. The thought of them. That. Felt. Right. She looked up at Lizzy eyes meeting for a split second before turning the other way. " I love you." Jenna said so quietly that not even a mouse could hear.

" LOOK AT THE SCAFSSSSSSSSS!" Lizzy basically shouted, jumping up and down. They picked up a green scarf but the smile slowly slipped of their cheeks. "You okay?" Jenna asked
"Yeah I just don't have money on me..." Lizzy was about to put the scarf down, when Jenna took it and brought it the the person standing behind the stand.
She rapped it around the taller's neck. Standing on her tip-toes, faces close like the time when Lizzy had first met her. But this time Jenna met their eyes a smile sunk onto her cheeks as they looked at each other. It was alluring moments like these that really sold Jenna on Lizzy. After a few seconds they started to walk again looking at more and more stands.

The sky had turned to a dark shade. Midnight. The fair was lite by fairy lights and they lanterns over the stalls. Something caught Jenna's eye, she pulled on the sleeve of Lizzy's hoodie."hm?" Lizzy hummed puzzled. 
"Look! It's an ice rink!" Jenna said excitedly.
"You skate too?" Lizzy looked over, tilting their head.Cute.
"No... but I've always wanted to go!" Jenna's face light up.
They walked over to the stand paying and taking the skates handed to them. Lizzy helped the other up and onto the rink. Sliding over to the railing Jenna huffed." This is a lot harder than I thought-" she said holding her self up on the railing. She looked over to Lizzy. She couldn't look away, they were moving like an angel. Something out of a movie. The way the orange light of the fairy light reflected off their hair made them glow. Jenna pulled out her phone capturing the angelic movements.

"Hey you're supposed to be be skating as well," Lizzy said sliding over.
"I'm gonna fall-" Jenna answered.
"No you're not, look." Lizzy extended their hand as the other took theirs off the railing and instead connected with Lizzy's. They were so soft and fit perfectly around her on. Her face heated up and she couldn't help but notice the blush on the taller, though distorted due to the orange lights. They skated, they spun, they laughed.Snow started to fall, the dark hair of the hazel eyed one made them look like something out of a painting.

As they walked through the park the snow had started to pile. Jenna looked over to the now shivering Lizzy. " here," She said taking off her jacket. Placing it on the other and zipping it up. Eyes meeting for what felt like the millionth time this day." Are you sure? I don't want you catching a cold,"
"I won't." Still looking into the hazel eyes. In one movement ,one she'd thought about for months. She placed her hands on Lizzy's shell pink cheeks on pulled them closer. Their lips connected and in this moment Jenna knew that THIS felt right . When they pulled away they connected foreheads." Are you cold?" Lizzy asked , smiling. " yeah, I feel all sniffly and fuzzy."
