Some people notice all of the small things, some people don't even notice the big things. With the mind of a reader and the heart of a dreamer, Ama West was one of those people. She never noticed her surrondings, be that people, places, or things. For her entire life she either had her nose in a book or her head in the clouds.
So when she took notice of a boy on the bus, it came as a shock to not only her friends, but to Ama herself. After that, she was still completely oblivious, but this time it was because she was focused on someone else. That boy had grabbed her heart and completly run away with it.
Ama knew it was unhealthy, she never even spoke to the boy, but she couldn't get him out of her head, even going so far as to make up fake scenarios about her future with him. Despite the daydreaming, Ama knew that nothing would ever come of it, they ran in two different circles. She was an FFA kid, and he was a jock, Ama knew she would never stand a chance.
