Assassin Life

 

Once upon a time there was an assassin corporation that was called AC (Assassin Corporation). In this corporation, there were four specific assassins that were best friends, in which this story revolves around. They were called (codenames) Little Birdie, Dingdong, Cutie Bear and Silly Demon. Even if they had to kill people for a living- which they all hated doing, but Silly Demon didn't mind her job much since she had been in the AC longer then any of them- having all four of them together was what kept them going with the will power to live. 

One day, Silly Demon was summoned to the Head Assassin’s office. When she got there, the Head Assassin told her that she had to carry out a special mission. He said it might be tough, but she still didn’t have a choice to not take it. So Silly Demon took it, but that was a big mistake. The Head Assassin told her that she must kill Little Birdie, without giving Silly Demon a specific reason as to why she had to.

She was reluctant to do it, so the Head Assassin said that if she didn’t kill Little Birdie, then they would kill her instead. Silly Demon said, with all her courage and determination that she could muster up, that she would rather die than holding the burden of killing one of her precious allies.

The Head Assassin contemplated on this for a moment, and then said that if she didn't kill Little Birdie, then the Head Assassin would send someone else to kill Little Birdie, Dingdong and Cutie Bear, and then she would have to shoulder the burden of knowing this but she still couldn’t do anything about it.

A bit scared, Silly Demon reluctantly accepted the mission. The Head Assassin said that she had to complete this task tomorrow. As Silly Demon came out of the Head Assassin's office; Dingdong, Little Birdie and Cutie Bear were all there waiting for her. They asked what the Head Assassin wanted, and Silly Demon just said that he gave her a mission for tomorrow. They said that was alright, and asked what they should do now even though Silly Demon was dying inside knowing she would have to kill one of her reasons for living within the next twenty-four hours.

Then suddenly an idea struck Silly Demon like a lightning bolt. She asked them if they wanted to go out today and have fun till they’re heart’s content. Without hesitation and no doubt at all whatsoever, they accepted this idea with a smile on their faces. They didn't think that Silly Demon would have any hidden meaning behind her intentions, and trusted her so much, which made Silly Demon even more sad about what she had to do. Silly Demon just wanted to give Little Birdie one ‘best day ever’ in her life, before having to end it.

They played and laughed, they talked and had fun. They went everywhere in the city, doing everything they could think of.

“If you knew you were going to die tomorrow, what would you do today?” was what Silly Demon would often ask that day. A lot of suggestions were put forth, and they completed every single one of them. That day, was truly the best day of their entire lives.

They went out from eight in the morning, and didn’t sleep until six in the morning the next day. They played and had fun for more than ten hours straight.

The next day, everyone was sleeping soundly in their rooms. Silly Demon went into Little Birdie's room quietly and stealthily, taking her special dagger out and was ready to kill Little Birdie in her sleep. Suddenly, Little Birdie eyes fluttered open and then saw Silly Demon holding the knife and ready to strike. Little Birdie started crying, knowing her fate all too well.

“Why Silly Demon, why...?” Little Birdie asked as Silly Demon started crying as well by this.

“It was either me or someone else killing all of you guys... I’m sorry... I’m so sorry...” Silly Demon stated. Before Little Birdie could do or say anything else, Silly Demon killed Little Birdie by striking her with her dagger.
