I sat in the police station with a frown on my face as I waite for my mother to show up. I looked at my black painted nails with my hair in pigtails and I sighed softly as I started playing with a red streak in my dark hair. The officer looked at me with his pudgy face and mustache crinkled in distaste. We just moved to california just four days ago a new record for me being brought in.

My mother walked in with her skirt suit on and I rolled my eyes as I looked away while she looked sheepish my mom wasnt really good with me being brought in all the time I think she was finally getting used to the idea though. I set my hands on my lap while my mom looked at me with a firm look on her face I think the poor woman was finally close to a breakdown.

“what did she do officer?” She asked with a slight sigh as I studied her for a moment, she has wrinkles lining her perfect face, her blonde hair in a bun, my mom is an accountent and a good one at that.

“She broke into the mayors office and stole some paperwork” He said looking at his notepad and I rolled my eyes with a small grin on my face. “as well as a priceless painting being vandalized..” He said setting his notepad down and looked at me. “as well as highjacking one of his cars and going on a joyride in it crashing it in the water” He said softly while I just shrugged a bit.

“oh dear...you see shes a bit of a free spirit we just moved here..” my mom started rambling while I looked around the small room where the officers were looking in at me like I was scum. I was used to that look and soon enough my mom wrote a check and looked at me. “come on...we have to go...” She said and I stood up saluting the officer before leaving.

The next week I was in a trial where I am being sent away...to South Korea..with my dad.

I sat at home the day after the trial as my mom talked to dad on the phone. I rolled my eyes packing my things up and looked around my room nothing was really unpacked after the fifth state I just stopped unpacking knowing we would have to move away.

I sighed and stood with my suitcase full of everything I would want, according to my mom I would be able to buy new things when I was there. I doubt they would have my style in korea it was unique. I put my hair into a high ponytail while my mom looked at me sadly and exasperated.

“honey this is your last chance...please make it count..” my mom whispered hugging me before leading me to the car where I had my backpack and suitcase. I set them in the back as we silently drove towards the airport. “I know the divorce has been hard on you, but give your father a chance and try and do well.” she whispered handing me two books. I have a photographic memory and it was korean language making me sigh softly. “i know your smart sweetie you just do dumb things” She whispered looking at me from the corner of her eye.

“mom...i like doing what I do..it keeps me sane in this retched world we live in...im not going to stop because daddy said so” I said crossing my arms and looked out the window.

“sweetie..just give it a chance..” She whispered patting my leg and I looked out the window making it to the airport.

“fine..” I whispered looking out the window as I stepped out grabbing my things. My mom hugged me and I hugged her back before leaving the car heading to the plane going through security was a pain because of my ear piercings and I headed towards the plane with a frown.
