Chapter 01

To Survive

We had to start with this? Most likely I and Byakuya finds this sorta annoying to say the least..everyone continued to glare at eachother, although, that didn't last long. "What are you gonna do now?" Her voice cut out the tension as if it were butter.."Standing around and glaring at eachother won't help anything." The girl with light purple hair spoke.

"R-right...she's right! We won't be able to do anything if we keep standing here!" Ishimaru adds, Owada also adds, "Jesus, if you have time to yell about it, you have time to DO something about it." Hm I guess so, but what were we supposed to be doing again?
"Idiot! Look for a way out, duh!" Kuwata says, did I say that out loud? Or what did I miss?

"And we need to find out who's behind all of this! It can't be some remote controlled build-a-bear." Enoshima adds in, oh true! Then maybe if we find out who it is we can kill 'em! Maybe-
"B-but, before we do all of that, we should m-maybe take a look at the handbook he gave us.." Fujisaki says, "yeah, taking a look at the school regulations would be helpful, just so we don't do something wrong and end up dieing-" I say while turning on my handbook. "True, it would be a shame to have something like that happen I suppose.." Celeste also says.

Anyway, I look back to my handbook and start reading the rules.
1: Students may reside only within the school. Leaving the campus is an unacceptable use of time.
2: Nightime is from 10-pm to 7-am. Some areas are closed off at night as well, so please exercise caution.
3: Sleeping anywhere other than the dormitory will be seen as class and be punished accordingly.
4: With minimal restrictions, you are free to explore Hope's Peak Academy at your discretion.
5: Violence against headmaster Monokuma is strictly prohibited, as is destruction of surveillance cameras.
6: Anyone who kills a fellow student and becomes "blackened" will graduate, unless they are discovered.
7: Additional school regulations may be added as necessary.
I looked up at everyone else to see their reactions to these rules, as expected, they had a stormy expression on their faces, some kept a monotone expression.

"What the hell kinda rules are these?! I'm not gonna let them control ME!" Owada angrily says. I get it mister bad boy, you don't need to make it any more annoying as it is now. "Well then, why don't you wander around the school without a care in the world and see what happens? Personally, I would love to see what it would be like for one to break the rules." Celeste smiles at him, I roll my eyes, although I am a little curious myself. If its anything like what happened last time, I'd have a blast with it. Pun intended..

"But if he got punished like what we saw before, I don't think there'd be a respawn waiting for him.." Yamada says, oh really? I thought I could've just restarted...
"I...Ever since I was a kid, I grew up with my older brother pounding this into my head..."
Owada suddenly says, "wait no...not the background story-" I plead to him, "when a man makes a promise, he has to keep it, even if it kills him.." he continues, nooooooo.

"I've made promises out there to people, so I can't afford to die here!" I mean, if ya can't afford it, get a job.
"Hey uhh, I have a question...for regulation number 6, what's that supposed to mean exactly?" Maizono asks. "You mean the second half of the rule, "Unless they are discovered." I've been wondering about that myself." Naegi says, he puts a hand to his chin, a look of thoughtfulness on him, fellow protagonist?

"Its saying that if you want to graduate, you have to kill someone without anyone finding out it was you." Byakuya answers them. "B-but why? Why do we have t-to do that?" Fukawa stutters, she played with her braid timidly.
