Striker's head was a mess. He sat in the Motel he was staying in, lazily draped across the bed. He'd run off to Pride, which he knew was a terrible idea considering everything that happened. But at least for now he was safe from Stella. It had been almost three weeks since his failed attempt to assassinate Stolas, and he'd tried again just a few days ago--only to chicken out. What the fuck was he thinking? Striker never bailed like this. Stella had even already given him a down payment yet Striker didn't ever finish the job. Instead he ran off to Pride and hid. He knew Stella would love to murder not only her husband but now her shitty assasin at this point.

Striker groaned and rolled over on his side, trying to push away his thoughts. Not just the thoughts of a failed job, but... of a certain Lust imp. Blitz. He hated to admit this but... Blitz was almost the main reason why Striker bailed and ran off to Pride. Striker was well aware of Blitz's existence before he was hired by Stella. He'd seen the I.M.P. ad on that shitty channel numerous times, and even more so he hated to admit, he really wanted to meet Blitz. Striker was in awe of the imp. The fact he was able to create such a risky business? All by himself? And already appear to be successful by it? That was goddamn impressive. Meeting Blitz at the Harvest Moon Festival was like meeting some idol--or even celebrity crush--not only did Striker envy Blitz's success with his business and skills but he was also a sexy motherfucker. Striker felt embarrassed. Being an imp from envy, and wanting people to envy him, he'd never actually envied someone else. It was... weird.

The thought of teaming up with Blitz and being his partner appealed to him more than anything. So much that he bailed on a fucking hit in hopes he'd run into said imp in Pride. Which most likely wouldn't happen, considering how big Imp City was. But this is what frustrated Striker the most. The thought of Blitz aroused him. Wrestling with him in the mud, pinning him to the wall, for Lucifer's sake Striker was forming some stupid highschool crush on a guy he barely knew for more than two days, let alone in person.

This was stupid.

So fucking stupid.

The memories of Blitz flipping him around in the mud, straddling him, even biting his arm when he pinned Blitz to the wall--flooded through his mind. Great. Striker wasn't about to fantasize about some imp that probably hates him now.

Before his arousal became more apparent, he stood from his bed and grabbed some melatonin on the nightstand. Popping a few of the contents in his mouth he layed back down, hoping the upcoming extra-sleepiness would take over. With a sigh of relief Striker found himself able to calm down and quickly drifted to sleep, but that didn't stop his dreams from continuing the fantasies he pushed to the back of his head.

~~~two days later~~~
Sitting in his office, Blitz stared blankly at the dreading paperwork in front of him. He was getting more and more behind each day with keeping up with the little things in order to keep his business running. His mind had been too occupied by other things, things he certainly did not wish to think of right now. Blitz let out a heavy sigh and sank down in his chair. Looking up at the clock, he sat up once again and picked up his pen to continue on the documents. It was only 9:30 but it felt like he'd been in that desk all night.
Tick.
The imp tapped the end of his pen on his head in thought.
Tock.
Ran his hands down his face in annoyed frustration.
Tick--
Blitz swiftly pulled out his gun and shot the clock with a loud bang, causing it to hit the floor and shatter. He sighed in relief. Finally, silence. After another half hour of mindlessly scribbling his pen on the paper, Blitz gave in and locked up for the night. No use sitting doing nothing if he's going to lose sleep over it. He'd probably just try to finish the work tomorrow morning with a fresh iced coffee in his system.
