The History of Center Earth

The Beginning

There is no sure way to know how Center Earth was first created. Some suspect that Light and Darkness worked together to create a planet to colonize, but Darkness told Ryka Ryquni that he had found the planet and traveled there, not realizing that Light was just on a nearby planet. A God of some sort could have created the planet, or it could have been a natural occurrence, either way, no one knows for sure. 

If you don't already know who Light and Darkness are, they are the embodiment of the sun and space, Gods of a sort. The two found the planet of Center Earth and lived there for a good time before there was a battle between the two, where Light was killed and Darkness scarred across the face. The two were in love and disagreed, and while being Gods, much more damage is created that can be seen. Darkness was hurt at losing his love and went into hiding, allowing the 7 hybrids they had made to live on their own. 

A social structure was created and with the discovery of Rifts, portals that allow you to travel between worlds, many other species began joining the world of Center Earth. Eventually, a human found their way in and created more humanoid hybrids. This humanoid or mostly human-looking species, mixed with any mythical creature you could imagine, became the dominant species in the world. 

With the rise of intelligent life, a more advanced social structure also arose, creating cities and an economy. A leader was voted on, and dictated as King, despite there being no evidence of a monarchy. Laws, bills, and amendments were all created to help the people. This is all very far back, not near the world we now know as Center Earth. With Center Earth being about seven years ahead of our present time. (As I am writing it is 2021, making it 2028 in Center Earth.) To give an estimate of the time when the world was created, it would have been at least within the 15-16th century. As hybrids learned to extend their life spans by going through periodical changes called Shifts, they can live for at least 400 years. Some live much longer, including the creations from Light and Darkness, who are suspected to be immortal, as well as their descendants. 

The seven creations go by the names as follows. Exalius, Divial, Cero, Seraph, Corporeal, Jak, and Sylias. The seven each had a child that their powers were passed on to, some having more than one child. The children are never specified by name, but there are at the very least 7, all still alive. 

Center Earth began to be called "The Backwash of Dimensions" for the sake that many would seek shelter there as they had committed crimes in other worlds and wanted a way to live peacefully. While Center Earth was young, this was common, including three attacks on the city and at least three other wars, but as of recently, there have been rules and laws set in place that stop these types of occurrences, depending on the crime. A customs system was set up in 2027 that gave citizens identification cards that worked universally with other worlds. With the set up of customs, a bank system was also created, giving every citizen of Center Earth access to a bank account that also works across universes and worlds. A school system is also set up, with classes that focus on students' abilities within their species and learn about the history (the same history going into this book) of Center Earth. 

So there is the beginning. Well, the beginning of what there is so far. There will be more information in other chapters, but so far the world is just beginning and it won't be dying anytime soon.
