(Basically a sequel to PANIC!!!)

...

Saturday afternoon.

And you're right in front of the entrance to the roller skating rink.

You had plenty of time to prepare, plenty of time to put those butterflies aside...but for some reason, they're still there.

And 10x worse.

And you're not sure if it's because of him or your fear of roller skating.

Well, Y/N. Here goes nothing.

You opened the door and made your way inside.

It actually looked a lot more...well...colorful...than you thought. Mainly because of the LED lights shining everywhere, moreso on the actual rink than anywhere else.

And it was also a less crowded than you thought...

The real eye catcher out of all this, though, is Mello right behind the counter.

He recognized you as soon as he caught sight of your face. "Oh, hey, Y/N! I knew you'd come!"

"Wait, aren't you on the job or whatever?" you asked him.

"Actually, I have someone else that can fill in for me while you're here...my boss may be an asshole, but honestly...he's also kinda stupid..." he chuckled. "Like, he fell for one of those whoopie cushion pranks once...and he thought someone ACTUALLY farted. Like, get real."

You couldn't help but snicker a little.

"Gimmie a sec." Mello turned around to face the hallway beside him. "HEY, JULIAN, IT'S TIME!" he shouted.

After a couple seconds, another boy walked out of the hallway. You sort of rscognized him, he's your classmate in chemistry. Curly hair that was dyed cyan, wears glasses, almost always wears a jersey with a purple S on it with this cute little slushie character on the shoulders...though this time he's just wearing a work uniform.

"I got you, homie!" The man that must be Julian said, patting Mello's shoulder. "Have fun, man!"

"Eyy, you, too!" Mello said as he pointed finger guns at him.

"I'll try!" Julian responded as he pointed some finger guns back at him.

Mello flashed a thumbs up at him before grabbing his own skates from one of the many lockers around the counter. "That's my best friend, Julian..." he said. "Known each other since we were kids. He kinda wants to be a DJ, too. For now, he must works here and at the Best Buy downtown and plays in a band."

"You guys are friends?" you asked. You've never really seen them interact with each other...or maybe you have, but haven't paid attention. You don't have any classes where they are together, so that's fairly reasonable.

"Yeah, we sit together during lunch almost all the time. Even before I became a cool kid. I guess he sorta became a cool kid with me? I don't know, I think everyone else saw me talking to him and just sorta assumed he's a cool guy...oh, wait, forgot to ask, what's your shoe size?"

After you told him your shoe size, he reached in another locker and handed you some skates.

"Sit down somewhere and put them on...just do it like normal shoes."

"Ok!" You gave him a fake smile as you sat down to put your shoes on.

Just like normal shoes.

"Alright, um...how do I stand up?" you asked him.

"Let me help you, just grab onto me and lift yourself up...and don't worry if you slip, I'll catch you."

You did what he told you to do and grabbed onto his arm as you shakily stood up. Your fear of falling along with the somewhat intimate moment spiked your fight or flight senses...
