Trentico- inspired by runawxy

Nico sat in his room making a potion. It sounds so stupid, but he read online about this love potion and he kinda wanted to try it, for shits and giggles. Nico has a big crush on his friend, Trent, so he wanted to slip some in his chocolate milk tomorrow, just to try it.

The next day Nico walked into lunch with Trent next to him. They both sat down.
"How was your day princess?"
"Don't funking call me princess." Nico was blushing madly and knew that "princess" was Trent's favorite nickname, so it wasn't going anywhere.
"Damn son, I'm gonna go get a napkin, so I can eat like a normal person. A civilized person." Trent looked down at Nico as Nico ate with no napkin.
Nico scoffed.
As Trent was walking away, Nico slipped "a roofie" into Trent's chocolate milk. Once Trent came back, Nico finished his chicken, and handed him a napkin.
"You heathen."
"Thanks bitch." Nico knew what Trent was gonna say next.
"Jerk."
They laughed at the stupid Supernatural reference.
Nico watched very closely as Trent drank his milk. Nico knew there was a 75% chance that the potion wouldn't work, but he had hope.

The next couple of days, Trent acted the same as always. Nico was a bit disappointed to be honest. Then, 4 days after he "slipped a roofie" into the milk, Trent was talking to him after school and said something.
"I saw you slip something into my drink, what was it?"
Nico started sweating nervously.
"Um..."
"Just tell me neeks, I won't be mad! Promise!"
"Okay it was um... alovepotionthatifoundonline."
"What? Are you okay?" Trent laughed a little, "Am I not obvious or something." He started cackling.
"Nico, I have had a crush on you since 3rd grade! You didn't notice?!" He was crying from laughter now. "DUDE I THOUGHT I WAS BEING OBVIOUS!" Nico sat there embarrassed.
"Okay I get it." Nico said a bit forced.
"Sorry, it's just I was kinda obvious. It's okay." Trent ruffled Nico's hair.
"Come here." Trent said.
Trent took Nico and kissed his forehead.
Trent wrinkled his nose, smiled, and said,
"You smell like vanilla."
