Chapter one: delusion

(Author's POV)
(Y/N) made a run for it holding back the urge to look back. Running through the mud slowly feeling herself sink with every step she took. Hearing the groans from the walkers (Y/N) got spooked and didn't notice the huge branch sticking out from the ground. (Y/N) stumbled and fell into a ditch hitting her head and knocking her out only to be met by the muffled voices assuming that they where walker.
(Y/N) wondered where it all went wrong.

(Flashback)
Warning this is a message from the president of the United States of America all citizens please stay locked in your homes, lock all doors and windows if you hear noise do not proceed to investigate.

-Mommy what's going on

It's okay sweet heart just hide in here you'll be safe

-is daddy knocking on the door
Y/N said as the banging on the door gets louder and louder. Y/N just thought it was her dad since at night time he would barge in reaking with alcohol yelling at her mother. But she would just hide in her room and to pretend that everything was okay and she got to live in this magical world where everything was okay and she had the perfect family .
Y/N heard the banging getting louder and louder but she was blocking her ears more and more until her fingers went white from the pressures.

-honey is that you
as you heard your mom open the door you peaked through the small crack of the closet she saw her dad. she was about to jump right on to him but out of nowhere her dad jumped on her mom and started devouring her. Y/N was frozen what the hell was going on and why is this happening to her. She saw her mother's skin get ripped from her body and her blood scattered around the room. The thick paste of the blood as it's oozes from her body the slimy paste as her organs get ripped out.

(Flash back ends here)
But even with those horrible memories when everything seemed like a lost cause even when everything was dark there still was a little light that came to save me Joel was there when no one was he took me in he kept me safe he made me feel loved no matter what he was like the family I never had. You know part of her was kinda glad all these horrid things happened. she finally got to feel what it was like to be loved.
